Dr. Barth is the best doctor who has ever treated me. His staff is professional and responsive. Each appointment lasts 30 to 45 minutes because Dr. Barth takes the time to explain things. He does so in a manner that can be somewhat academic, which is why I think some people have commented on his bed side manner. Bottom line: Dr. Barth is literally at the top of his field, and is perhaps the best oncologist in Orange County. If you have cancer, why would you want to be treated by anyone else?

Dr Barth is the best. I have had experience with top tier medical professionals and he is the brightest, most dedicated and compassionate physician I have encountered. He gets to know how a patient would like their information delivered so that he does not over simplify or overwhelm with medical terms. He uses the latest technology to maintain a comprehensive patient profile. I have no problem waiting longer on occaision to see him as I know that when it's my turn he will spend as much time as needed with me too. After researching the treatment regime he chose for me I realized that he gave the best and most cutting edge treatment available. Once again, the best.

Dr. Barth did everything he could for my 38 yr old husband who had Stage IV melanoma in his lungs, liver, spine and brain. He was agressive because my husband wanted to at least try and beat his cancer. His staff was great. They took good care of me and my husband and they were professional. You could tell seeing a young couple in their 30s was hard on them but they never lost focus on keeping my husband as comfortable as possible. Unfortunately my husband's cancer was too advanced for any doctor on this planet, let alone Dr. Barth. After his death I emailed Dr. Barth to let him know I was going to proceed with IVF and that I appreciated him recommending a fertility doctor to us. He was very kind and told me that he thought about me often and hoped I could find some peace and happiness after my ordeal. I can tell you that if I ever get cancer (God forbid) I would feel rest assured that Dr. Barth would do everything possible to save me.

Dr. Barth was the worst doctor we have ever encountered. He may be good in his field, but he may have the worst bedside manners we have ever seen in a person. He was egotistic, uncompassionate, and unprofessional. He was quick to judge other doctors in his field, he was negligence on his follow-up, and when he did, he was very unprofessional. For example, he returned my phone call after multiple attempts to reach him only to be yelled at by him. He did not ask why we needed to contact him. Although I believe it is a fudiciary duty of a physician to follow-up with his patients on test results, he never did with ours. Bottom line, I would never recommend this doctor to anyone!

My father was a patient of Dr.Barth's for 8 years and he couldn't have been happier with his care. Dr.Barth was dedicated to my fathers care, and to finding a cure to keep him alive. For that, my family and I will be forever grateful.

If Dr. Barth had a fun club, I would run for president. He is simply a brilliant oncologist. Dr. Barth is also very kind, caring and compassionate to my entire family. He treats both of my parents for lung cancer. His office staff is also amazing. The world needs more doctors like Dr. Barth.

He is a bright Oncologist. Not a real phenomenal bedside manner, but nonetheless, he is good.
