At first the doctor seemed to be empathetic about my medical condition. When the medicine he prescribed failed to work he did not want to prescribe certain other medicines instead because he claimed either he didn't know enough about them or that because I am in my mid forties I was "too old" for them. He gave me no advice about how to deal with my medical problems. When I told him my conditon was getting worse and I was suffering from anxiety as well, he refused to prescribe anything or offer any advice, he just told me to go to a specialist with a six week waiting period.
