He is very busy & does not waste time. His manners appear rough , because of this. I rarely saw him or talked to him b4 or after procedures . I've heard this is quite Normal for this type of specialist. I had no problems with staff or appointments. Just not a warm fuzzy atmosphere. No hand holding, yet professional I'm okay with that as long as they are good at what they do.

Please go elsewhere, it could save your life. I’ve never written a review before but this is one I need to write. I was referred here for a colonoscopy about 5 years ago, waited and waited and as I was coming up to the appointment received a phone call he was going on vacation, they would contact me to reschedule. Never heard back. I called back multiple times, again the same response we’ll reschedule. Eventually I just gave up, biggest mistake I’ve ever made. Now I’m 38 and probably going to die of colon cancer. I’ve blamed myself for not being more pushy, not letting them just ignore me, but reading these other reviews it looks like I’m not alone in experiencing complete incompetency from his office staff. I understand people make mistakes but if his staff had just done their job after I called back multiple times I wouldn’t be in this mess right now. After reading the other reviews this place seriously needs to be shut down. Please don’t ignore your symptoms even if they go away no matter your age, no matter how you might feel. Better to be safe than sorry it could save your life.

Dr Vivian did my colonoscopy & ‘CUT MY COLON!!!’ He had been saying he did so many, as if he was proud of his accomplishments & the day after my procedure my colon burst open & I was in hospital over 2 weeks & nearly died from infection!!!! My body has not been the same since!!!!!

First time I have done this, I am a Nurse I have worked in the ER, ACUTE, MEDICAL, over a 10 years. Terrible experience seemed like he didn't know who I was or my case until he was reading off his papers infront of him. My case was serious and he seemed totally dismissive, didn't answer questions, didn't explain, really seemed he just wanted me out the door to just bill the appointment. Flash forward a year later and many problems in that year to follow up with anothr Gastro (because I refused to see him again) new Gastro immediatley books colonoscopy, gastroscopy and CT SCAN say to me why wasn't this done a year ago by the other Gastro.

Told me all women bloat and it’s always just gas, have been diagnosed with Elena and tod it was fluid by 3 other specialist . He didn’t listen and repeated himself over and over . Needs to retire

Dr. Vivian is knowledgeable but unapproachable. It was difficult to get an appointment with him and once I did he briefly talked about celiac disease (which I had to then ask him if I had), but he did not talk about treatment. He gave me the email address for a volunteer from CCA so I could ask my questions about my sudden need for a change in diet (so obviously he did not have time for a discussion with me).

Herds his patients in like sheep. Doesn't like to answer questions. I've been trying to get a follow up appt. for a month and still no call back. Front staff is rude and impatient. I'm looking for another Dr.

I find a lot of these negative comments very contrary to my experience. I was sent to Dr Vivian to get an ERCP. My appointment was scheduled quickly. I was in to the exam room quickly where Dr Vivian did a complete history and exam. He determined tha I did not require a scope at this time. Very kind, professional and thorough.

Very good and competent physician. I had food lodged in my throat and he did a masterful job getting it out and helping me with my esophagus issue.

After four years of suffering with gastric distress, my family doctor sent me for an cat scan and an appointment with Dr. Vivian. He reviewed the scan and said that I had a stone in my bile duct. This was surprising as I don't have a gall bladder. He set me up with an appointment to have it removed in few weeks. The procedure was virtually pain free and by the following day, I was feeling great. Excellent diagnosis, quick action and wonderful results. Highly recommended.
