Excellent doctor, very polite. He has been taking care of my son's asthma. He is very thorough and skilled. Started him on the right treatment. My son used to be in emergency room a lot before seeing him. He called to inform me about the lab result and ask how our son was doing.

One neglegent experience that put my child's life at risk. I agree with the person saying that he'll send someone in his place because we were in the hospital and they were briefing him on our case and he couldn't even come in to say that he was sorry or we're going to get her better. I find he likes to push the medication without really looking at the matter. He asks the usual questions. Gets his little checklist out in his head and says that they need medication. No grey areas with him. Just black and white. I will admit that he is friendly and my little one likes seeing him. Staff on the other hand take forever to answer the phone and you can't leave voicemail. They didn't really hit the friendly branch on the way down.

My Husband and I take our son to Dr.Faruqi and we absolutley love him.. He helped us out first by sending our baby to the iwk . The dr on call at the ER here in Antigonish said there was nothing wrong..dr faruqi checked him over sent him to the IWK (he almost died). He recovered thanks to The IWK of corse they are great but mostly to Dr Faruqi he seen he needed the help they could not give him here and went one stept further, if he says there is something wrong then there is something wrong.. if he tells us not to worry that everything is ok then we believe that too. we have great resepct for Dr. Faruqi and are surprised to see that someone could say anything different. But everyone is intitled to their own opinion. We feel at ease when our son comes from a visit with Dr Farqui.

we saw dr faruqi for our son who was failing in school. he was excellent with us, very calm and thorough. he made us feel comfortable discussing the problems. he started him on medicine. not all the troubles have gone away but our son is doing better in school. no more calls!

I got to my appiontment and he was about 30 minutes late. I know that he called and tried to cancel the appointment because i overheard his secratary talking on the phone. Then he came for my appionment and cancelled all others for the day. He did make he feel like he knew what he was talking about..... but when I called him to make another appiontment because my daughter was getting worse, i found out that he was no longer my doctor because he had refered me back to my family doctor.....witch would be fine if my daughter needs didn't change all the time. Now I am waiting 2 months for another appointment. That is a long wait. I feel like he wiped his hands clean as soon as he could, knowing that her needs change month to month, 2 months is a long and painful time for my daughter to have to wait.

Very knowledgeble doctor. Our family doctor asked him to see our son in the hospital. We did not know what was wrong. He quickly got to the bottom and explained the reason for our child's condition, putting us at ease. He improved rapidly under his treatment.

DAUGHTER IN HOSPITAL WAS VERY, VERY SICK YET HE DID NOT TAKE THE TIME OUT TO SHOW UP, INSTEAD HE SENT SOMEONE IN HIS PLACE THAT WAS LESS KNOWLEDGABLE THAN HIMSELF, AND WAS TOO LATE. SHE PASSED AWAY AFTER ONLY 3 DAYS. I THINK THAT WE NEED A WHOLE SET OF NEW DR'S AROUND HERE, ONES WHO KNOW WHAT THEY ARE DEALING WITH OR WHO WILL SEND YOU TO SOMEONE OR SOMEWHERE WHO DOES....BEFORE IT'S TOO LATE!!!!!

Very knowledge and helpful at putting parents and children at ease. Talks to the child first about problems, if any and then the parents. Encourges that child visits when in town to keep the freindship going.
