Dr. Powar has been my doctor for almost 25 years. Surprised by some patient experiences as I have only good things to say about Dr. Powar and the Clinic staff. If you are looking for a doctor, then go to Dr. Powar as she provides good medical attention, is pleasant, and on time -I have never experienced any rudeness (which others mention). If you prefer someone not telling you the diagnosis correctly or love waiting beyond an appointment time, then go elsewhere

I was with dr Powar for 23 years. She has always rushed her patients, takes vacations and now has begun to charge astronomical prices for her “services”. I shouldn’t have to pay for a referral to a specialist. She’s never been pleasant, and at a young age actually called me “fat”, instead of helping. If you’re looking for a new family doctor, I’d steer clear of this one.

she calls herself an expert in acne and refuses to refer you to a dermatologist. i had horrible cystic acne for years and I begged her to refer me to a dermatologist because none of the medications she prescribed worked. once i suffered severe irreversible scarring to my face she finally agreed to refer me, when the damage was done. because of her i've spent thousands on procedures to reverse the damage she caused by not referring me when i had asked her to. avoid her at all costs, she does not care about your health and well-being.

As a physician Dr. Powar should know the definition of double doctoring . It is when a patient uses multiple doctors to obtain multiple prescriptions. Unfortunately Dr. Powar takes so much time off and her office will tell you they will see you if it is an emergency. If I have an emergency I am going to the ER not Dr. Powar. Dr. Powar is cold, careless, and not thorough. She treats patients like second class people and tries to sell her facial creams any chance she gets she actually has bottles in her office. That is pathetic.. Focus on your real job and quit and worry about your botox. She deserves to loose her license and I am considering sending a complaint to the College of Physicians . After having a different Doctor send me for and MRI I called Dr. Powar to have my depression medications renewed I have been on them for years and am extremely depressed she literally yelled at me as I was crying that she can see I had another Doctor send me fir an MRI so I will need to move on. I have not been prescribed anything from this Doctor and was unaware it was illegal to get a second opinion on my health in fact I am pretty sure it is legal. Who wants to be put on hold for 15 minutes evwrytime they call to get to voice-mail and then wait days for a call back or appointment. Her new secretary is rude period. I will see how College of Physicians feels about this as I have a right to my medication for Bi-polar disease as I am sick and depressed and have not been prescribed any medication fro any other Doctors. Get off you high horse Dr. Powar you are a mediocre Doctor lacking any bedside manner. You have medically gaslight me as a patient and you can guarantee a complaint is going to be filed.

Dr. Powar has been my family physician for more then 20 years. She is kind, understanding and very knowledgable. She is always on time and her staff always remembers our names and family tree.
She guided my father through Cancer and referred us to the best specialists, which resulted in his current clear bill of health.

Unfortunately, I have never met with Dr. Powar when she was in a pleasant mood. I have never met someone that is consistently always miserable, moody, and rude. I feel like I can barely get a word in about my concerns because she rushes every visit or phone call and does not care. I am almost afraid to book an appointment with her and I avoid it at all costs because I do not want to deal with the attitude and rudeness. I never write reviews but everyone I know that has this Doctor agrees. I do not recommend ever going to this Doctor ! Unless you want to have your day ruined every time you speak with her.
