Dr leddin had diagnosed me with chrons disease ten years ago. After having symptoms for 9 years i ended up in the hospital and even though it was past midnight he came down examined me had me on for a colonoscapy first thing the next morning and diagnosed me. He was extremely caring, explained it to me in a way that i understood, made sure that all my questions and concerns were taken care of, made sure i had support systems in place incase i needed it. Anytime i had a flare up in the last ten years all I've had to do was call his nurse and he would try and get me in as soon as he was able. Hes amazing and i am beyond greatful to now be a mother of five beautiful children, and i still have my own bowel!

Dr Leddin is a compassionate human being who goes above and beyond the call of duty; I am very thankful Dr. Leddin remained in Halifax to care for me over the past 25 years; he is extremely busy and yet never rushes our appointments. I ended up seeing Dr. Leddin after an awful experience with another GI specialist. At first I thought he was going to be great. He said he'd look after me and find out what is wrong. Well, he hasn't. I was due for a colonscopy and I became very ill and they were unable to do it. All he said when he saw me in this state was, "this is not crohnes" while waving his arms around like an idiot. I have not heard back from his office, nor has my family doctor after numerous attempts. I have requested to see someone else because I feel they jump to conclusions and a lot of the GI specialists here all seem to be arogant idiots. They want to pump you full of crazy drugs instead of admitting they don't know what it is and maybe suggest other specialists. So disappointed in the GI department in Halifax as a whole. I've not yet met one nice one. Even being in the hospital and seeing the ones in there. The are condesending and do not listen. Would rather blame everything on the patient. They should be ashamed of themselves. Would not recommend him to anyone.

We were referred to Dr Leddin two years ago for ongoing GI issues .My son is disabled and multi handicaps .He is non verbal so unable to tell us when something is wrong. Dr.Leddin was a perfect fit.He is so compassionate and very knowledgeable .He makes us feel like he wants the best for Ryan too. I cant say enough about this unassuming man. He is the doctor you want to be on your case. If he doesn't know, he works to find out. Thanks to Dr Leddin , many of our son's health issues have much improved over the past year .He takes the time and does it right!

I have been under Dr. Leddin's care for years and I have never been to a doctor that takes you and your health so seriously and wants nothing but to help you. He is caring, compassionate and highly knowledgeable.

I was assigned Dr. Leddin while a patient in hospital and his care,compassion, education and knowledge prevented me from making the biggest mistake of my life. He is not my regular doctor therefore I cannot comment on his office staff but I would recommend his to anyone.

Dr.Leddin is a GREAT doctor. I first met him almost 20 years ago, and I have been in his excellent care almost ever since.He is extremely knowledgeable and easy to talk to. He puts things in layman's terms and doesnt **** you.

This docor is the best we have come across, after seeing so many doctors after my husband was diagnosed with chrones and colitis, Dr. Leddin was a fresh breath of air, our family doctor recommended him and I can see why, this doctor really listens to his patients, before giving any perscriptions or ordering any tests, he explains why he needs to give it and all the side effects. Great doctor, his secertary keeps track of when visits are needed and has one booked within 1 week when she calls for him to come in for a check-up!

I am very grateful for Dr. Leddin. I was diagnosed with Crohns in 2002, and found out 6 months later that it was not Crohns. Dr. Leddin diagnosed me with FAP, and since then, the only problem I have had with his office, is the lack of response from his team lead/ secretary. And the long waiting list for follow-up and routine appointments.
