Instead of helping a man come to terms with his diagnosis as he was in complete denial, and suggesting he prepare for his death and begin counseling for his children. She had more time to write negative letters about the woman who begged him to stop smoking for 15 years. Did she know that we spent the last few months of his life watching movies with our children and had put our differences aside. Did she know only 2.5 weeks ago he said he loved me from the moment he saw me 22 years ago. Thanks Carmen for facilitating a 6 and 13 losing their father with no warning. I’ll pick up the pieces as I always have. You could have suggested counseling, you could have done so much more. He trusted you. May he Rest In Peace.

When I first started seeing Dr. Carmen Klass, I was very happy with the care I received. Now, when I have a appointment, I often don't see her. I believe she's still an excellent doctor and I assume, because of the way she treats everyone, she really cares about her patients . Having a wonderful PA and excellent staff helps her get by, with her overload of patients and lack of time . I had an appointment today at at 11:30 and was told to arrive by 11:15 . Why tell people to arrive early to sign in, when they will have to sit and wait a long time before seeing the doctor. Today, when I checked in, everything went smoothly and the lab work did not take long. Everyone that works in the office and lab area take good care of you and are very nice and do their job well and you usually get taken care quickly . But after that, if you have to wait for Klass it is awful. Sometimes there are no more patient rooms available so you have to wait in the hallway while sitting in uncomfortable chairs. When you do get to a patient room, you'll be sitting in a uncomfortable chair in a small room that makes a claustrophobic person, like me, miserable. I have often thought, if a patient really has to wait so long - - -could someone come up with a pleasant experience for those who have to spend their time waiting for a doctor. Waiting rooms have televisions . I think that's an outdated idea because everyone has a phone they can entertain themselves with, these days. Why not make a waiting room more pleasant for patients and some of their helpers. A waiting room could be more like a coffee shop. You could offer some tables with comfortable chairs so people could talk with each other or do work on their computers. They could even buy some coffee, tea and a few healthy snacks, There are all kinds of people that like to do volunteer work and would be happy to volunteer in a waiting room that offered some comfort for patients. And, maybe it might also help the doctors . Their patients might not be out of sorts , like I was today when I saw doctor Klass.

I have been seeing Dr. Klass for almost two years. The first few visits were fine, and I truly do love Dr. Klass. She is compassionate, caring, and makes you feel as if everything will be fine with you. However, the waiting time has become unbelievable. I had an appointment yesterday at 11:15 a.m. I was called back to the lab at 11:45 a.m. Then I was told to sit in a chair outside the lab until a room opened up. At 12:00 p.m. I was still sitting in a straight chair outside the lab. At 12:15 p.m. I was shown to a room and told to wait there. By 12:45 p.m. no one had come into the room. I got up and went to the front desk and told them I was leaving. There is no excuse in the world to make a cancer patient wait for 1 1/2 hours and still not see a nurse or a doctor. I will not be back to see Dr. Klass again. I feel sure there are other caring oncologists who don't make patients wait 1 1/2 hours for their appointment. Awful experience!

I love Dr Klass, she called me personally when I first found out I had cancer and was shopping for an oncologist. Refreshing to see a warm, but still honest kind of Dr. She helped me to get cured from an aggressive non-hodkings lymphoma back in 2010.

I love Dr. Klass - she is down to earth and caring. I know she runs behind on her appointments but it is because she takes time with each patient. I also love Melissa, her nurse practitioner.

I am very early in my cancer journey and was referred to Dr. Klass for treatment of my colon cancer by my Gastroenterologist. Like others here, I find her compassionate, yet blunt, which is critical for an Oncologist. She gives all the facts and includes the patient in the treatment plan.

I was just diagnosed and met Dr. Klass the first time yesterday. She spent 1 1/2 hours with us, explained my cancer, treatment, gave a tour of the facilities. She was smart, kind, blunt and everything I was looking for in a doctor. I think my family and I are blessed to have found this smart lady.

When it was discovered that my wife had multiple tumors in multiple organs, her PCP recommended Dr. Klass and said this is who he would go to, and send his family to. We were terrified while waiting. Dr. Klass was both kind and forthright, which is what we wanted. Very encouraging given what we were facing. On our second visit (which was done during Dr. Klass' scheduled administrative time), and after pouring over research regarding my wife's stage 4 colon cancer, Dr. Klass was very patient and seemed fully engaged in my wife's condition and upcoming treatment and had answers to all our questions. She was very knowledgeable about current research and trials and to me, she came across as a cancer warrior and at the same time, very sensitive to our emotional frailty. We feel we have made a great choice. We gladly wait a little extra, knowing she is spending extra time with new patients. Both the office and treament room are filled with kind people. The place is busy but never curt. They are busy saving lives.

I am so fortunate to have Dr. Carmen Klass as my Oncologist. I feel that she is truly concerned for my physical and emotional well being. She is an impressive physician and human being. She has my highest possible recommendation for anyone facing cancer treatment. Your visit and exams may not happen at your scheduled appointment time, but both Dr. Klass and PA Early are definitely worth the wait.
