I cannot agree with the previous rating dated February 3, 2017. Dr. Yanover was on time. His humor promptly eased my anxiety; it made my experience that much more enjoyable. The nurses were very professional and actually enjoyed Dr. Yanover's humor. I wonder if the last commentator told the doctor that he was anxious; we, as patients, have some responsibility to participate in our health care and tell our doctors how we feel. My experience in the OR was totally different. I found Dr. Yanover to be extremely professional and aware of my needs. He talked to me as I drifted off to what he called "Dreamland". Perhaps the previous writer did not realize that there is sometimes a wait to go off to sleep because the anesthetist is waiting for the surgeon to show up. In conclusion, i had a great experience and will request Dr. Yanover if I require surgery in the future. Thumbs up for this pleasant and caring doc.

Came late to OR and I was nervous. He tried to put me at ease with some irritatingly unfunny attempts at humour. My wife and I were more anxious after he spoke to me. He flirted with the nurses and they seemed equally unimpressed. Through all of this he didn't seem to pick up on how uncomfortable he was making everyone. Same deal in the OR itself: Just yucking away to himself while everyone kept waiting for some action. By the time the medication hit me I felt like I was going to burst with anxiety. I hope I never see this guy again.

A brilliant sense of humor on a very stressful day going in to surgery. He's well read, sociable, funny, and well educated. I like the man a lot, and hope to see him for my next surgery.

Jeans and a T shirt do not make a jerk but .... there is something very odd about this guy and his manner. His attempts at humour are unfunny and awkward. I sincerly hope he enjoys himself more than my family and I did. He seems to have a very big head. Anyway, I survived so thanks for that much.

I have had the pleasure of knowing Dr. Yanover for over 10 years. Our paths crossed after I was in a car accident and required injections in my head and back and neck for pain management. I actually passed out in his lap because I watched him give me a needle in my shoulder. Thay kinda broke the ice. He always was kind and he always treated me with respect. I have had a few surgeries since my injections and he happened to be my Doctor, including a D and C after I lost my baby in August of 2006. I felt so devistated of my loss and it was so nice to see a familiar face. He was the only person that could find a IV spot(3 tries and 2 bruises later)I seen him after my surgery and he was so caring and genuinely concerned about my well being. Lethbridge is very lucky to have a Dr. like him. So what if he wears jeans and and talks a little silly..he is after all a person too. He also has a good sense of humour to go along with his knowledge and skill of being a Dr. Thank you!

Very different experience than other review on here. I was the first case of the day, and he showed up late. Other people were already being taken in for surgery and I was still waiting, didn't really help how nervous I was. He came and talked to me in jeans and a tshirt. I thought this was unprofessional. I also found he talked down to me at times, for example, telling me to get ready for "nappy time medicine" or something like that. I can't remember exactly but I felt like I was being treated like a 5 year old. He seemed to know what he was doing, but I wasn't impressed.

This Doctor is very special. He put me at ease very quickly with his sense of humour. He asked me questions and was able to answer my questions and allay my anxiety. Unlike many other anaesthetists I have had in the past, he offered me a choice in the type of anesthetics available for my particular surgery. I chose a spinal anesthetic for my knee surgery and Doctor Yanover reassured me, spoke with me and entertained me during my operation. You must request this doctor if you have need of an anesthetic in Lethbridge
