Dr Burke is the most caring Doctor I have ever come across. My Husband recently pasted away in March and Dr.Burke took care of him for more then 10 years. We could not of asked for a better Doctor and friend to take care and make his life comfortable as his illness progressed. He was always there for my family, I thank him from the bottom of my heart!!!!

I had been a patient of Dr. Burkes back in 91-94. Since I had across provinces several times, I can honestly say that of the doctors who have treated me, I have never found a family physician who I respected as much as I did Dr. Burke. He always listened and I always felt as if I had a choice in what treatment options were available to me. I truly wish my home were closer to his office as it would be a tremendous comfort to have such a wonderful doctor in charge of my health care.

A great doctor, even if he couldn't save my husband 5 yrs ago. He had died by the time they were able to get in touch with me. When I did get there, Howard put his arms around me while I cried, and I had never dealt with him personally.Forgot to ask him what actual cause of death was, but one day will make point of finding out, assume heart, being a senior. His wife Dr. Michelle Albert is my doctor and they are both the best.

I went to Bowmanville hospital after being sick for 5 months.No other doctor seem to know what to do. Dr.Burke ran every test there was and found the problem. I was better in a matter of weeks after he called in medication to my pharmacy. His bedside manner was the best I have ever experienced in any emergency hospital. I also had to go back for another problem and he took the time to speak with me for at least 30 mins if not more. He helped me through a very rough time in my life . The way I see it ...he saved my life twice.He is the best !!!!!!!!!

Dr. Burke took me on as a patient during a significant medical crisis: he later accepted my husband and son as patients too. All members of the family have only praise for his compassionate sense of caring. As parents who have lost a child to death, we are so very blessed to have a doctor who "gets it." He always has time to discuss our health issues, but also our emotional responses to life without our child. More than that, he always makes use of his incredible sense of humour in appropriate ways, so that no matter what mood you were in when you entered the office, you always leave feeling better about life and yourself. Howard is a rare find in the medical profession: I wouldn't hesitate to recommend him as a family physician.

Having been with DR Burke since 1991 he is by far the best doctor a family could have.He has delivered both of our children, helped myself through some serious medical problems,with knowledge,compassion, and a sense of humour.Not only is he a great doctor,but he is a grat guy.Seeing him outside the office at soccer games and other events he always has time to talk.

Dr. Burke has been our family doctor for almost 17 years. In that time, we have some serious health concerns that he has dealt with compassionately, intelligently, and with thethoughtfulness only a husband and father could have. I have told him a number of times if he ever moves his practice out of town, I will move as well.
