Believe Dr. Romano at one time was a caring, patient involved doctor. She is knowledgeable and friendly. She now seems to has a "hands off" approach. She does physicals and a followup but if you have any medical issues in between you are passed off to anyone in the office. She checks her watch when entering the room and will tell you, you have 15 minutes - doesn't seem to want to get involved???

I've been seeing Dr. Romano for 20 years. A former nurse, she has a patient centered perspective. She is hard to see if you are sick--like most good doctors, her time tends to be booked for physicals and appointments scheduled well in advance. But, those in the practice you may need to see on short notice are very good.

Like a factory in this office. Unfriendly staff that makes you feel like you are a burden to them. Won't go back.

Dr. Romano is very friendly and knowledgeable but I am looking for a new provider. Trying to get prescriptions renewed is the most painful and stressing procedure I have ever indured with a doctor's office. Twice by other providers in this family practice I have been prescribed medications which I know I am not suppose to use. Overall 95% of my dealing with this office are frustrating.

Since moving here 4 years ago Dr. Romano is the best Dr. I have encountered and there have been few. Unlike so many of the Doctors here, I don't feel rushed or like I've taken a deli number. She is extremely thorough, has a delightful bedside manor, is very knowledgable and takes time to discuss any results.

I've been with Romano (Dr R-) for 20+ yrs. She did more admin work & less of her first love—medicine—after starting the practice. She returned to med, & reliniquished control. Dr R- Dr Curtis (Dr C-) & the nurses have been there 4 me, X & X again. Dr. R’s been there when other drs have given up. Dr R- called after hrs, to inquire about my condition, & before hrs re tests results. The residual effects of Dr. R’s previous office mgr, who was absolutely the best, are noticeable as others have pointed out. She had high stds. ) I too complained about not being able to see Dr R-, but we can’t expect them to wait on the sidelines for patients to return in the hopes we’ll need them—it is a business. If Dr R- wasn’t good we wouldn’t have to wait, but she is. The Washingtonian magazine listed Dr. R- as 1 of the top drs in the area; I agree. She still has the heart of a true physician; a heart of gold.

Have to agree that the office has a factory atmosphere - (who is this clown telling people to shut up? - this is a forum for feedback, even if you don't agree) Dr. needs to oversee and correct the staffs interaction and conduct with patients, who still pay for and deserve courteous and professional service.

Dr. Romano is very knowledgable, sincere, and friendly, and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend her. She was most helpful during a difficult time in my life. It is difficult to get an appointment with her.

Unlike the whiner below (shut UP already!), I have had nothing but good things to say abot Dr. Romano. Yes, she is hard to get an appointment with but so is a great car mechanic. Her medical staff is good and at near the same level as Michele as far as medical competence goes. Her front office has been more helpful in the past but were still willing to go the extra mile when I needed their help with an appointment with a cardiologist. (They did everything short of give me a ride there!) Overall I am pleased with this practice and will continue to go here for my medical treatments.

While Dr. Roman may be a decent doctor, the fact that it is impossible to get an appointment when you are actually sick is absurd. If you call for a sick appointment you are told the have one available four or five weeks later. Not very helpful. The staff if very unfriendly.
