Dr. Shakespeare is such an incredibly bad and irresponsible doctor that I don't have adequate words to describe him. I have pneumonia now, which reminded me of my experience being treated by Dr. Shakespeare 10 years ago. Was stunned to find that he's still practicing medicine. I had pneumonia in 2010. I saw Dr. Shakespeare several times over that summer, sure that I had it. I kept telling him I was sure that I had it. He kept insisting that I didn't, that I had bronchitis. My collar bone was killing me because my lungs were so filled with fluid. He never bothered to do a chest X-ray, just listened with his stethoscope. By August of that summer I was rushed to the ER with pneumonia so advanced, I was hospitalized for more than a week. My husband angrily called Shakespeare's office to let him know. Shakespeare called me at the hospital to say, "I'm surprised that you have pneumonia." No apology. I'd also passed the pneumonia on to my elderly mother, who also had to be hospitalized. Prior to this episode, I had an allergic reaction to Sulfa, which caused blisters to form on my hand, in my mouth and in my vaginal area. Shakespeare told me that the blisters may be herpes. Herpes on my hand! In reality the Sulfa had caused a rare and very serious reaction called Steven's-Johnson Syndrome. I'm not being dramatic when I say that you can die from S.J.S. It's totally fair to say that Dr. Shakespeare's malpractice literally could have killed on both occasions. Stay far away from him. He's dangerous and shouldn't be practicing medicine.
