I am the person that wrote the first entry on 3/29. I have some updated info. I also have a wonderful new doctor who is very smart. We had new xrays done and after reveiwing them it is obvious by the fact that there is nothing left of my A/C joint that the 2nd sugery should have never been done at all. My new doc is trying to do the best he can. We are doing alternative therapy, medications, and other treatments but I think I will have to live in pain for my entire life. My shoulder dislocates, hand goes numb and cold, and I am in intense pain constantly. The pain is so great it is sickening, vomiting, and taking strong medication that barely touches it....its no way to live he took my life and the life of my family away and thats not fair. We just had a newborn baby and I can barely hold her. The worst for last is that I may now have a nerve disorder and stage three is amputation. I hope that this can help so your life wont be taken from you. My thoughts are with you all.

Unfortunaly he and his staff do seem a little too busy to actually provide the proper care that patients deserve. The surgery that was performed on me I am now told by my new doctors was not needed, my shoulder dislocates, and I am much worse off than before. I just felt like I was put through an assembly line and not enough attention was given. I also had bad experiences with certain members of his staff. I had my surgery without having an MRI done first.I was also not even shown my X-rays at any time. I have now been told that especially with a surgery like I had I should have had the MRI first, but you know unfortunatly you rely on the doctor to make the right decisions. I aslo should have obviously got a second opinion. So if you read this and still decide to go with Dr. Thomas at least make sure that you get all the necessary X-Rays and if needed an MRI done to insure surgery is even necessary. Hope this helps so maybe you will not have to live in pain like me and not even 30

This is a good orthopaedic surgeon, however he is too busy to actually care for you. His staff is at sometimes very rude and act as if they are put out by serving you. I was actually asked at my first appointment after surgery what we did and which arm it was! Evidently he does not even have enough time to look at the chart before he walked in the room! It is unfortunate but because of his lack of time and genuine care for patients not to mention his rude staff I would not recomend him to anyone.
