I went into this doc's office a month ago for the 1st time. Noticed a stack of medical records on the counter where visitors wait to speak with secretary. A scammer could definitely capitalize on this sloppy organizational effort. The waiting area is so tight, I smelt the persons alitosis odor from across the room. I actually waited 1 hr, and had to leave because I didn't want to run late for anoth appointment. At the time while I waited, I noticed alot of people were going there to have forms filled out. I also noticed a very large stack(aprox 15" high) of WSIB claims on the counter where patients wait. Don't want to sound discriminitive, but based on the patients I saw in the waiting area he certainly caters to a certain demographic or class of georgetown residents. Perhaps pamphlets are distributed in surrounding trailer camping areas for his services.

Office has not been the same personal service since the main receptionist retired, only reason we stayed. Current staff is unfriendly and impersonal. Office is chaotic, patient files disorganized everywhere, and office is filthy! He is severely overbooked and you are waiting easily at minium 1 hour to 2 hours to be seen. Most likely due to his OHIP overbilling. He is always in a rush you do not get personal service. You do not have a name but a number on your chart to him. He brings you back for every single separate issue instead of dealig with things at one visit. I was just there one week and he brings me back in days later to pick up a referral, happens repeatedly. He's wants you back again n' again to bill OHIP and wastes time he takes forever getting around to getting your problems looked after and referring you because he forgets because he's rushed. His waiting room is so over-packed. No personal service there, just more headaches and stress. We have sinced changed doctors.

Misdiagnosed symptoms which led to colon cancer. I reported experience to my gastroenterologist who diagnosed, and sent me for surgery immediately. I personally informed Dr. ford and have have never returned.

Dr. Ford has been my doctor for years and if it wasn't for him I would have died at the age of 20. Although he is very busy, if you call the office and are really sick he will make time for you that day. He;s direct and down to the point and is willing to listen.

I suggest everyone look up Dr. Ford on the Ontario Physician and Surgeon's website as he has had a "past finding". His office is often overbooked and he does not spend enough time with his patients.

If you want your appointment to be 'on time' show up an hour early. The chairs are fabric and stained. The carpet smells bad, is frayed and held together by duct tape in some places. The folders not filed away is why he had to record my visit on a scrap piece of paper. Is the office chaos the reason why he failed to take me off one med that conflicted with another? I had congestive heart failure for quite some time and he never even noticed until I was hospitalized. I still have a scaly rash on both legs that he just glanced at and told me to put skin softener on it. It's worsened but he's never followed up on it. He's elderly and tends to take time off without any warning or posting. He's had laser surgery on his eyes recently, so how long has he been blind to outward physical symptoms? I left Ford once before and this last go around shows I need to move on again. People love him--I'm just afraid that remaining with him might be a fatal decision for me. He'll be helpful for a fee.

With the retirement of our previous doctor, I switched to Dr. Ford, who had been my wife's ob/gyn. In spite of my cynical nature, over the past 20 years I have nothing but respect for him. His office is often jammed, but a phone call will usually get me in the same day. He takes as much time with me as I need- I never feel rushed. He is direct in answering my questions. When he doesn't know the answer, he refers me to a specialist, and recently caught a serious tumour during my physical. I see this trait as a strength: he persists and follows up. He is personable, friendly, and interested in my health and life. To my surprise, at my last appt., he immediately agreed to accept my mother as a patient, to our family's relief. His office staff are friendly, down-to-earth, and helpful. Perhaps it's part of getting older, but I enjoy my visits to see Dr. Ford. Though he may have had some problems in the past, he is certainly excelling as a family doctor. We would be lost if he retired!

I became so angry with Dr. Ford for mis-diagnosing his cancer that we switched Dr.'s.He said the pain in his chest had nothing to do with his feet going cold and turning blue!In actuality the pancreatic cancer clotted my husbands blood cutting off circulation in his foot which caused the foot to die. When cancer was properly diagnosed by another physician it was too late1
