I saw Dr. Miyashiro on a weekend when the office was closed. I was not even a patient of his but ran into him at a grocery store in Hilo. He was so nice to offer to meet and care for my husband who was suffering bad eye pain. He saw him and gave him a couple of prescription and told him to follow up later that week. All good now. My husband and I fully endorse Dr. Michael J. Miyashiro to anyone!

Dr. Miyashiro is warm and friendly and professional. He has removed cataracts from both of my eyes and the results border on the magical. At age 65, I am enjoying good vision for the first time in my life, after struggling with astigmatism and severe myopia since I was a very young child. I am very pleased with the care provided by Dr. Miyashiro and his staff and highly recommend the folks at Ludwig Ophthalmology Centre in Hilo, Hawaii.

I've been seeing Dr. Miyashiro for about a year and I couldn't be happier. Another doctor told me I needed surgery but I asked for a second opinion. Dr. Miyashiro told me that we could try medical treatments first. Just a few eye drops a day and I'm doing well! No surgery for me!
