I have seen Frank Alena, 3 times now and never again. If you want a nice chat then he is the one, other than that not a good Dr. I guess seeing patients has a standard 15 minutes to fill usually with nice chat. First time he not only sent my prescription to wrong place but also got it wrong. Last time I had a lump on back and he glanced at it and as always refers me somewhere else, this time a general surgeon. I asked if it wasn't just something that needed popped he said no. 3 days later pops itself. I have asked for colon-guard at home test twice and get the, just go get a colonoscopy, it just right down the street and takes 10 minutes. I have had one and don't need another. Last time I asked again and he said okay. Never received it so had to call office, got an apology and now 3 weeks later still waiting for test. He is 68 and maybe retire soon but what happened to hands on Drs.? He's just there to send you somewhere else to get problem taken care of and give you a nice chat. Last time my ear had also been itching a little so had him take a look then got a nice 10 minute chat about how important ear wax is and how it works. I kept interrupting and had questions about other things. I had also asked for blood tests which I thought everyone in my age bracket should do once in awhile and happened to mention I was also curious about testosterone levels. Guess what, got a blood test for only testosterone...

Dr Alena is an amaz Doctor. However, the staff sends you more than not to immediate care facilities if you call with a cold or flu because they are always full. Sad situation.

I called for an appointment because I had pneumonia. Receptionist told me I could come in the next day at 8. I asked for rx to be called in for me. When receptionist called back she denied having told me that I could have an appointment at 8 and was very rude. I'll never go back even though I liked Dr. Alena

He's been my family's doctor for over 12 years. Very knowledgeable/helpful. However, (and not specifically to Dr Alena) you have a felling that the clinic has move more toward the business side and away from the patient side of the practice.

Best family doctor we have ever had. Dr Alena spends time, listens and always has an informative, intelligent response. He has been consistently warm and caring, no matter the health issue or who has the health issue (myself, husband or son). Highly recommend!

Very helpful doctor if you have a chronic or hard to diagnose issue. An MD/Ph.D, who will listen and think through your history/issue at hand.
