I cannot adequately express the extent of my gratitude and respect for Dr. Schooler and his team at Santa Barbara Plastic Surgery Center in this letter. With Dr. Schooler, his level of technical skill, dedication and professionalism needed to perform surgery (in this case a clean-up and re-do of a panniculectomy), is obviously a prerequisite for a successful operation and subsequently a needed recovery. With that said…, the feeling of trust, depth of confidence and the level of communication transmitted throughout my personal hospitalization was unparalleled. Dr. Schooler’s staff at Santa Barbara Plastic Surgery Center impressed both my wife and I, as being efficient, motivated, very responsive and TRULY caring. By far, they were indeed the best medical staff I have ever experienced during my 50+ years. With Dr. Schooler and his staff, on that first meeting Friday January 26, 2018, their caring manner, especially their willingness (collectively and individually) to take the necessary time to examine me, and explain their view, their study and results left nothing to be desired. I never felt as though Dr. Schooler or anyone on his staff were rushing to just process me, a pleasant change from other physicians, surgeons and staffs. My comfort level was high going into my much needed surgery on Saturday January 27, 2018…and my comfort level to recover is NOW extremely high as I journey to healthier times! In behalf of my wife, my five children, and my three grand-children, we thank you Dr. Schooler for saving my life!
In conclusion, and without sounding cliché, I would say to anyone considering surgery with Dr. Schooler to rest assured…you have a great doctor that cares and more importantly is the best at what he does. He is truly gifted by God’s hands and can perform miracles to help anyone with a panniculectomy after post bariatric surgery. Leave your choice of such a surgery in the hands of a ‘plastic surgeon’, that is Dr. Schooler.

Dr. Schooler and his staff are wonderful! They made me feel at ease and in great hands. I am so happy that I made the decision to have him revise the breast augmentation surgery done by a different doctor. I am so grateful to him for what he has done for my self image.

Breast reduction, insurance paid. This man is an accomplished reconstuctive surgeon as well (hands and arms as well as breasts.) The first time I met with him he had been up all night reattching someone's arm, so I assume he has vascular training as well. Despite being exhausted he took his time with me and made me feel very comfortable and confident about the procedure and his skills. Post-op he was very present and concerned and when I went for a follow up they had schedule with a different surgeon he insisted he see me. In addition, breast reductions are well-known to leave prominent scars. I am healing so well and his sutures were so fine that you can' t see the incision under the breast or around the nipple and the others should be gone by summer. Amazing and wonderful doc and the best hospital experience I've ever had.
