On the off chance Dr. Athey ever sees this, I just wanted to acknowledge how much I appreciated him as a family doctor for nearly a decade. Despite my mental health struggles, he never failed to see my physical health challenges when they arose and for that I'll always be grateful. I have also since learned how much of a rarity that is in family medicine. Hope you're enjoying retirement on the course!

I am so grateful to have Dr. Athey as my family doctor. He is knowledgeable, supportive and compassionate. He is extremely down to earth and always answers questions fully and without making me feel like they were dumb questions (even when they may have been!). He's a rare find. I know some people have commented on the reception staff...my experience is that this is a very busy office. Staff are quick and direct on the phone, however are very helpful when booking or rescheduling appointments. They are not super friendly but I'm not looking for that in a receptionist. I'm looking for competence which they all are. I've never had a mix up with appointments. Dr. Athey runs on time for the most part. I never feel rushed and his nurse is lovely.

Dr Athey is Amazing!!!! Excellent follow up, listener, and knowledgeable beyond belief.... He has taken excellent care of me and my family over the last 25 years and I can’t say enough good things about him.... on top of all that his staff is just as wonderful...from your patient Megan

Dr Robert Athey has been my GO for over 20 years. He is absolutely the best. Very knowledgeable , caring and will go the extra mile. He’s patient , very good listening skills and will refer you on if he feels it’s needed. We’re blessed to have him as our family Dr.

Echoing a few comments below, it’s hard to trust a doctor with your quality of life when their staff are as rude and dismissive as Dr. Athey’s are. You likely won’t find many better doctors in the GTA, but you absolutely won’t find a worse staff (with the exception of the younger employees who pop up in summer or on off-hours).

Dr. Athey is one of the best GPs I have ever had. I feel totally comfortable going in to see him and know that he is going to do his best to address my health concerns. He is also willing to listen to me and discuss various options to solve issues.

I can’t rate my GP, Dr Rob Athey, any higher. He is an excellent family doctor - knowledgeable, warm, and always caring and helpful. He’s the best GP I’ve ever had.
