In 1999 I came to Dr Dommisse after a big fall down a hill knowing full well that the Harrington rods & the fusions done to my spine in 1971 were broken. I was in a lot of pain. Dr Dommisse kept moving my surgery date to repair the damage. In 2001 I finally got a surgery date. I walked into the operating room and was shocked to see just how bad my back was in. I have a very rare type of scoliosis double “S” double rotating. Prior to my surgery date Dr Dommisse said the surgery will last about 2 hours. When Dr Dommisse came into the operating room I questioned him about these Xray that were in the light box because up until this point I had seen my X-rays yearly although he refused to let me see these prior to my surgery date. He actually admitted that he never looked them until that morning & said oh well this will take at least 8 hours. During the surgery I had to be intubated several times as well as there were issues with me bleeding out. When I woke up from the surgery Dr Dommisse told me that the rods sure so corroded that it was 1/4” shards. Dr Dommisse should have re-fused my spine as well re-instated harrington rods. He did never! As a result even though my GP sent me with my files to 30 different Orthopaedic Surgeons none of them would touch me because my spine is too comprised due to that surgery. Today my spine has fallen to the point where I’ve lost 7” in height & the pain is unbearable. Do not trust this man!

Dr. Dommisse gave me hope from day 1 from chronic back and sciatic pain. Had back surgery and my comment on waking up out of anesthetic and seeing him by my bed was "no pain, absolutely no pain, it's wonderful". He was knowledgeable, explained the surgery in great detail, was so positive and pleasant. I recommend him to everyone who suffers from back pain or othe orthapedic pain. Dr. Dommisse "YOU ROCK"!!

Amazing-he gave me hope from the very beginning. After 3 years of morphine and struggling to walk his skillful surgery has me back to most of my previous activities.

Dr Dommisse I'm sure dropped from heaven. After experiencing some other orthopedic specialists who were generally arragant in the extreme, this man was a total joy. He does amazing surgery and I highly recommed him for anyone who needs back surgery. His skill level is beyond excellent and his bedside manner incredible. He is the total package lacking nothing in my opinion. If you have to wait to see him do it. He is worth his weight in gold!!!!

Dr. Dommisse is the best back and knee surgeon ever. I had suffered with lower back pain since age 16 and told mostly in my head. Was referred to him, a few tests done and low and behold , he found the problem. He operated on me in 1990, I was out of the hospital in 3 days. A miracle! Now , some 17 years later, not one ounce of back ever since the surgery. Had knee arthoscopy done too in 2000 and never any pain again also. He's tops in my books! Highly recommended! Just hope he is still practicing if my hip goes out when I old!
