dealing with work related problems? You should seek other employment! In Elliot Lake? When A man is in his 50's retraining to achieve a similar wage is not in a companies intrest because he'll only have 10 to 15 years to contribute. This doctor is like an ostrich, his head is in the sand

This man does his surgery on my wife and then leaves her in pain because he doesn't believe in pain medication. Folks get a real professional and go to Sudbury. The sooner he retires the better.

Dr. Long has worked tirelessly in this community for longer than anyone can say. He is an expert in his field and the envy of other communities. He has touched the lives of most every family in this community. People abuse their bodies or are encountered with unfortunate conditions, and expect him to fix it all. Maybe he should bake cookies for everyone to make them feel warm and fuzzy. Would that be enough? I have never had a bad experience in over 30 years, and this community will suffer the consequences when he final retires to enjoy his own life...after dedicating his life to trying to help you enjoy yours!

This dinosaur hack screwed up routine surgery on my wife. She lost her job. Stay away from him!! He perforates bowels because he's too rough. Has killed patients due to Sepsis after their colonoscopies. Ridicules patients while on the table if they're fat. 'Rumoured' to have dealt cocaine in the past and served his sentence on weekends and through Doctors Without Borders - which allowed him to practice on guinea pigs without fear of persecution. Run as far as you can from this Man. He may have had his day, but that day has long since passed. It's time to hang up the knife Jack! Do it before you screw up someone elses life!

I have been a patient of DR. Longs for all of my life (34 yrs). He is an excellent surgeon and is quick to refer if he cannot help. However, do not go to him for warm fuzzies...He is blunt / direct and to the point..I have also worked professionally with him and know he cares about his patients and does lot of follow up behind the scenes...He has served me very well over the years and would recommend anyone to him

Just an all around very very helpful and intelligent capable gentleman. Can be heard to ask someone round for a cup of tea when he finds they live in his neighbourhood. This in the midst of an intensive history taking and consultation.

Jack Long has a reputation for poor bedside manor, however he is just a busy man who is unable to hold hands of his patients. He does his job well, and is not afriad to seek a second opinion or forward your case to a more qualified Dr/ specialist. One does have to wait for Dr. Long but that is only because he is such a busy man.

Dr Long, is the best surgeon in my opion. He tells it like it is.There are many places where people have to wait for months for surgery, not here in Elliot lake if it is serious , and that is what counts.
