She took off my cast after 13 days of breaking my hand, did no x-ray and told me to return to using my hand normally. Our interaction lasted for 1 minute as she roughly played with my broken hand, hurting me, and gaslighting to me I was fine. I tried to use my hand again as she told me to. It hurt like hell. Now I'll have to return to emergency to get another cast and ask to be referred to another specialist since Dr. Skanes visibly hates me and wants me to suffer for reasons I ignore.

She was running very late, then when I finally got to see her she was totally disinterested and uncaring. She looked bored when I tried to tell her about my symptoms, and started looking through some papers on her desk. She then said she'd get her staff to arrange a surgery date, but as I left I told them I'd go elsewhere.

She exceeded my expectations for my rhinoplasty. She listened to exactly what I wanted and made sure to keep the look natural. The healing process was rough physically and mentally, and she reassured me that everything was normal throughout, which eased my anxiety. I was hesitant because she doesn’t have before and after pictures all over the internet like most, but her years of expertise and knowledge speaks for itself. My before and after is incredible and I’m very thankful! Highly recommend her for any plastic surgery needs.

The best plastic surgeon in Moncton, especially for breast reconstruction (just because that was my experience). I had the surgery performed by another Dr. and I wasn't happy at all. I was referred to Dr. Skanes by a friend, and she did an amazing job and I have never looked back. Nipple reconstruction exceptional. She is very caring, kind and more than willing to please.

This special doctor, saved my life a year ago today!! I will forever be greatful she was the surgeon on call that Sunday afternoon, her and her awesome team were so professionnal & calm, little did I know I was in a life & death situation with Flesh Eating disease, I had emergency surgergy within just a few hours from being there, then again the next day to make sure all the infection was out.
