He was incredibly unprofessional on all levels. I have never had to order a doctor to leave a room. We are from out of town and heading home when my daughter collapsed in the back seat of our van clasping her chest. She was barely able to talk nor walk. She has a heart condition that we have had to monitor since birth. He at first asked me when we arrived what he could do to reassure me. I wasn't comprehending the extent of the question and asked that he check out my daughter as this was not a normal reaction for her and it was extreme disconcerting. He ran a heart monitor and X-ray but canceled a blood test. He was going to release my daughter. I was in shock as her pain went from 7 out of ten to nine out of 10. The nurse was shocked he had canceled the tests and encouraged me to get her to the e.r. Immediately. I reiterated, this is the point of immediate as I have seen her like this. She said you don't need to release her if you feel she should stay. She and I were both extremely concerned. The doctor had question me about the severity of her heart and how she was fine and many kids lived with this with no problems. He also questioned the fact that our pediatric cardiologist was considering a heart valve replacement and that she was on "mild"
Side of regurgitation to which I responded she is moderate and has continually become worse in 12 years. He was very condescending to me and kept using pocket psychobabble tag lines to get me to answer the question,"What can I do to reassure me."I again stated, "I don't understand what you are asking. This (pointing at my daughter) is not normal. She is normally active and would never concede going to a hospital let alone on a trip . I have never taken her in for chest pain. You are the doctor, you know the tests that she needs to confirm that her Heart is ok." He again in a very condescending voice said, "You are not listening to me, you are talking over me."
I responded, "Just spit it out, what do you want? I am not understanding your question if you want another answer than make sure my daughter is alright." He again tried to cover his butt by back tracking all he had said and continually stated I am misunderstanding him. O felt like he was trying to invoke a fight in which I would not engage. I finally told him I didn't appreciate his co descending tone and the way he was talking to me. I pointed to the door and told him to leave, that this conversation was over, and that we would be releasing our daughter. The nurse apologized profusely and handed me a card to report him and reiterates That she heard everything and that I didn't deserve to be talked to in that ,and that all the nurses have to deal with him and ugh when they find out he is on rotatation. She encouraged me to please file a complaint;that he treats everyone that way. She apologized profusely and was embarrassed for the hospital for having such a physician on staff. She told me how composed I was and that I handled him well. We will follow through and file a complain we are enroute home 8 hours away and will consult our pediatric cardiologist when we arrive.

Ignored my symptoms, and refused to order tests beyond blood work due to the fact I had no Insurance. I went in complaining of Severe Abdominal Pain in a Specific location, but was Diagnosed with Abdominal pain UNSPECIFIC Site. Yelled at me and told me to go to the poor peoples clinic. Your usual self righteous, judgemental, heartless Doctor. Sent me home in debilitated condition!
