We left Paulding Hospital after being seen by dr. Hickerson not knowing anything more then when we walked in I would not like to have dr. Hickerson as my PCP

Call ahead to the hospital before going to see if Dr. Hickerson is working. If he is, then consider going to another hospital. He is not confident in his skills and he transfers many of his patients to other hospitals when it is not needed. This causes the patient to have increased out of pocket costs and costs the patient valuable time unnecessarily sitting in another hospital because Dr. Hickerson could not adequately or competently treat them. He is currently working at Wellstar Paulding Hospital in Dallas, Georgia. My family member was transported needlessly and the helpful ambulance driver explained that Dr. Hickerson transfers many more patients than any other doctor at this hospital.
