My family LOVES Dr. Laura! My mom, dad, wife, son, and I go to Laura, and we feel blessed to be her patients. She is very thorough, intelligent, proactive, and professional. If Laura's not always on time (and sometimes she's not - : ) ), it's because she's spending so much time making sure patients feel all their questions are answered. I don't know what we'd do without Laura. We feel safe and confident in her care.

Responding to … "this doctor finally torn my family apart". Just like there are good and bad doctors in life, guess what, there are good and bad patients in life too. I'm going to take a wild guess that Dr. Abbott probably told you 10 times over and over again about your mother illness and you just didn't get it. Fed up with you, she finally went to family to discuss the issue, which most doctors wouldn't do, trying to explain the situation. I don't mean to be rude, but I am ... if you felt so betrayed by Dr. Abbott, why didn't you get a second option? The medical world is not an exact science, some people think doctors are gods and they should know everything. Guess what, they don’t. Dr. Abbott is a good doctor hands down. Scott from Paris. This doctor has finally torn my family apart. When having a discussion with Abbott about my mothers' illness, she got very angry at me and called a family meeting to discuss the issues further. She had repeated word for word my conversation with my brother. Is this not a breach of confidentiality? She refused to send my mom to the specialist she wanted to see, told me I'm not a doctor and yelled at me that she doesn't need to be here (at the meeting she arranged!!!) she had very yound children at home. WELL, TOO BAD LADY. We are dealing with a severe illness leaving my mother unable to speak. Abbott could care less and doesn't follow through on ANYTHING....She is a poor excuse for a doctor and needs to go back to school to learn ethics. DO NOT, I REPEAT DO NOT SEE THIS DOCTOR. She plays favorites with certain patients and ignores the rest. I FEEL ANYONE THAT HAS MADE A POSITIVE STATEMENT ABOUT ABBOTT ON THIS SITE IS PROBABLY SOLICITED BY ABBOTT HERSELF TO ADD POSITIVE COMMENTS.

Dr. Abbott has been my doctor for several years. I travel from out of town to see her and will continue to do so. She is always professional as are her staff. This is a family friendly atmosphere. I always feel welcomed by Chris and often if myself or my children are anxious Chris is able to inject some humour and make everyone feel more comfortable. I never feel rushed when I have an appointment and Dr. Abbott is very thorough. I feel Dr. Abbott genuinely cares for her patients.

I have always had pleasant service when visiting Dr. Abbott. She has always taken the time to listen to my concerns and doesn't rush the visit. I am very happy with her as my physician.

I have gone to Dr Abbott for a number of years. I have been very pleased with her as a doctor. She has always taken the time with me and my family. She always asks how I am doing and genuinely means it. She takes the time to explain things and even suggest further testing on things I hadn't even though of. My physicals are thorough - she weighs me, takes my blood pressure, does a breast exam as well as the pap. I have been to several different doctors over the years and have had physicals done many different ways. My only complaint if I had one - would be her nurse Chris. She is certainly not the most pleasant person to deal with.

She is always great if it is me or the kids usually on time and very helpful, if it something she isn't sure about she will refer you to where you need to be!

Wow, I'm asking the same thing, is this the same doctor, my yearly physical consists of a pap smear and that's it. 2 minute visit when it should be at least 20 minutes. Rush in, rush out, that's how it's always been for my entire family. I guess it depends if she knows you or not...
