i would go anywhere else than see him. if i need a script i ll use him for that or paper filling out., as soon as i can get any other doctor . when im ill and have been for a long time i need a doctor that is educated not snide, empathetic and fastidious, not ignoring and concerned with his own ego and the almighty dollar. he wont even look up at a patient soemtimes when they are talking or have soemthign he needs to see. i had a friend who had a growth i kid you not and she finally yelled up at him to look at her because it had gotten worse. finally he told her to go to hospital for operation immediately. you need to be your own doctor and monitor your needs closely. he doesnt even know why he s prescribed alot of the meds im on, good thing i know. man it adds to frustrating life, he should be helpful. i will travel far to avoid seeing him if it mean s i get a different family doctor.i sure hope he s more careful and approacheable and thorough when he deals with kids or seniors

I think people expect too much friendliness from doctors. These people have spent most of their lives studying in school vs. socializing, therefore many doctors easily exhibit anti-social characteristic/have a hard time communicating or dealing with actual people. I've been through an experience where he could have worded himself much better... but nothing like let's say like Dr.House?? hahahha... He is extremely busy, and you CANT expect him to remember every patients entire file. Yeah he may care about making money, but isnt that why YOU have a job too?? You'd want to make good money if you had 12+ years of schooling. Believe me he's a good doctor, and there are a LOT WORSE doctors in Brantford. Like the other person was saying, hes great for getting things done and doing his job. You have a problem and want refferals, tests, scripts, ect., it gets done. Whereas other doctors would fluff you off, refuse, and pressure you to just go away.

what the belly achers say is true and it is doctors we go to to have our well being checked on. it shouldnt be a business about the almighty dollar that is why we have ohip and family drs he is great for writing scripts and having tests ordered is all. what kills me is the insensitivity especially when cancer has been diagnosed. of course there would be worry and some people end up depressed and in a dark whole i dont have to go to med school to know that but to be insensitive of it? guess he has too much stress and client load to care about that being a reality also one could say" i see your very upset and anxious rather than what are you blubbering about you aint dead yet.i have spent probably 100$ this year going out of town and hours upon hours going to other doctors because of this kind of treatment. somewhere in the business side of making money we lose the empathy we should have if we are 2 with patients period it isnt belly aching its reality of what a doc should have.

My husband and I have been with Dr. Desai since moving to this area in 1998. I find him willing to discuss any issue with me when I see him. Need testing done... within a few days, you have an appointment to receive the tests. I have found him to have a great sense of humor and a very professional approach. As for the patients who are unhappy, go some where else! Oh that's right you can't, there is MD shortage! Quit your belly aching and start taking responsibly for your own well being!

this doctor is nothing but a money grubbing doctor, don't cancel an appointment, hope you never have to deal with his wife, he's more interest in the $$$ not the importance of free medical advice. There's a price for everything.

Dr. Desai was my physician and he is the worst doctor I have ever had. He treats his women patients like everything is in their minds. He does not take blood pressures and you have to ask things to be done or he ignores you. His physicals are a joke and his attitude stinks. Go anywhere but him.

This was my husbands Dr. for a short time. He would go to him and find that he would not remember giving my husband meds for his condition or even that he had his condition. I belive that he could have been a very good Dr. when he started out but he should be looking at giving it up. Either he is having memory loss or just won't look at your chart to see what is going on. Go at own risk.
