I consulted with Dr. Altman with a reoccurring lesion on my lip which was previously treated by another dermatologist. He approached me in an aggressive manner, claiming, without cause, that I was at fault with lip licking and picking my lip and was therefore unable to offer a correct diagnosis. He had me schedule another appointment in six weeks, admonishing me to not touch, pick or do anything to my lip. My husband and I sat there shocked, taking this abuse in silence. This cruel behavior towards me left deep psychological wounds. He should not be allowed any contact with patients.

He is thorough, honest, has a great sense of humor, the best staff. I have been to other dermetologists but he is by far the best and he has got a new patient forever.

Being a melanoma survivor (original diagnosis in 77), I have been a patient of Dr. Altman for close to 20 years. This man is phenomenal in his ability to spot and treat dangerous areas. He is just as quick to reassure me that my area of concern is nothing. A truly gifted doctor!

I have been going to Dr Altman over 20 years. Coming from N.Y. state in 1979 to florida. I have had experience with several dermatologists and have found him to be the very best from the very start. I have considerable skin cancers and he has lengthened my life.

This doctor's competency and thoroughness has probably literally safed my life. Had it not been for his skills and attention to the many skin cancers he has removed, I do not believe I would be alive today. His staff has always accommodated my needs to have the doctor see me, even on short notice. The trip of 52 miles to put my care in his hands is absolutely worth the time and I would go nowhere else. To call this man a "fine doctor" would be an understatement. Anyone requiring dermatological and/or surgical cancer care should put themselves in his care without reservation. I cannot recommend higher than 5 stars or I would.

I have had numerous basal cell carcinomas over the past 30yrs and have seen several dermatologists until I found Dr Altman. The quality of his care is wonderful. He is honest and straight forward. He also has surrounded himself with a great staff. He has also worked with me in times when I have had money problems!! I hope he never retires.

After sailing for 3 years, I went to Dr. Altman for a skin cancer check. He found an abnormal mole on the back of my heel that turned out to be a malignant melanoma. I was very impressed with his knowledge and expertise. He treated me on the spot and it turned out to be life-saving!
