Dr. Vagnini is knowledgable, but I agree with other reviews that he doesn't like to be questioned so much, so what's the use? He does go overboard with blood testing and only likes you if you buy his vitamins, etc. Too bad. His receptionist was very rude and nasty to me besides not forwarding messages, etc. Don't know how a doc with his fame could employ a person like that - she represents the office and him so that says a lot.

I arrived on time and waited three hours to see the doc; he sauntered in about 15 minutes after me and promptly ordered a fried egg and ham on a roll. What hypocrisy! He pushed Victoza on me, although I'm not diabetic. He told me to order his books. He pushed his own vitamins and supplements, but instead of giving me the vitamin list he'd just compiled, he sent me to his "Vitamin Guy," so he could charge my insurance for an additional consultation. He violated HPAA by bellowing the full name and phone number of a patient in the crowded waiting room. He's a true alarmist, and when I questioned him about a few things, he became testy and said he knows more than I do. A former vascular surgeon, he's NOT an internist. He ordered MANY unnecessary blood tests. I gave 22 vials of blood in one sitting, costing my insurer over $5,000. The insurer sent me a list--over ten pages--of the tests, to see if I'd really taken them. Goodbye, "Dr. V."

I went to "Dr V" after weeks of severe chest pains on my left side. My local internist had not been able to find anything wrong. While waiting in Dr V's office he came out to where the pateints were and while rubbing his hands proudly proclaimed how many patients he had dispatched in the past hour. I knew right away I was in thw wrong place. Once inside with Dr V he was mostly concerend that my muscles were bigger than his (he lifts weights). I was sent for tests and latter on told they couldn't find anything. There was little discussion about all my symptoms and past medical history. I felt I went to a doc that was just churning patients out. I eventually found from another source that my chest pain was from blockage in liver. Dr V does a good radio show but that's it.

This doctor is all about the money as evidenced by his extensive vitamin line which every patient is strongly encouraged to use, need it or not. This was the only dr office I ever walked out of after waiting 1 1/2 hrs with my elderly mom, his patient, only to be eventually told, "Oh, your mom is just a re-check and that's why you're waiting so long." This was said after I witnessed many patients taken before her....the reason....they all were having diagnostic testing done.($$$$). This guy is not worth waiting around for, unless of course, you buy into his "spiels."

Dr V is a paradox. I have been interested in staying as healthy as possible and Dr. V provides the in depth exams and expertise to help facilitate that. I also think he is brilliant. That being said, he is rude, insensitive and I think a bit egomaniacal. If you are talking to him it's like he isn't listening (unless you bring up one of his books). If you question him, he gets barky, If you want to know more about something you're gonna have to read his books or listen to him on WOR, because in person he gives the impression that your presence is a burden. I never quite know when the consult is over. He just kind of puts his head down, gets real quiet and fumbles with something. When I ask "are we through?" he simply gestures. I suppose he is far too important for a real exchange. Medically, Dr V is state of the art. After the negative vibe from consulting with him fades, at least I know I'm with the right Doctor ...like I said, a paradox.

One of the worst experiences i've ever had with a doctor (and i've seen a few of arrogant and rude type). After a month taking a battery of tests, I came back for my assessment and consultation, with high expectations based on his reputation as 'holistic and knowlegable. After waiting for well over an hour in an empty waiting room, I went in to see him and sat watching him take 3 long personal phone calls, ignoring my presence, talking at leisure for at least 10-15 minutes in front of me. He seemed unattentive, unconcerned as if I were wasting his time, the least important thing on his mind. The rest of the visit was rushed, nothing was really explained, no real diagnosis given and then he walked out. I overheard him in the hall say "Who's next? Get that guy outta there!" I was appalled. He doesn't even pretend to give a hoot. Go to him at your own risk.

Had my initial visit this year to Dr V. A complete history was never taken, so I felt I wasn't heard, though I was encouraged to email him. He was on the phone during the "consultation" phase, and did seem a bit rushed. Although I think I had a total of 10-15 minutes with Dr V, he was polite to me. I never got an explanation of what Danny would do, so I felt pressure to purchase products. I don't believe they even know what's in the stuff they sell, as they don't provide information on it. There aren't any samples to show you-not even an empty bottle. Very slow in refunding what you paid them for supplements. I thought I would have a different experience, but I will give the benefit of the doubt for the follow up. The other staff members were quite kind. Don't know if I'd return after follow up visit. Have recommended him for purposes of natural medicine assistance. I know he's busy, however I'd like to see more medical investigation.

I am surprised at the comments about Dr. Vagnini. He has always been professional and nice towards me. I have never felt any pressure to purchase his line of products. His staff is very friendly and accommodating. I am recommending him to absolutely everyone I know. He is the only anti-aging/holistic doctor in New York who accepts insurance. If he was only out for the money he would stop taking insurance that pays him peanuts ($40.00 per visits! Take a good look at your insurance bill payment statement.) and start charging hundreds of dollars like other doctors in anti-aging field who also have their own line of products and services they sell! I am very happy to have found him and consider him to be a great human being who is genuinely interested in helping people. He is a brilliant doctor and he has helped me more than any other doctor I have ever visited!
