I am about 90 years old. I give credit to this doctor that at this age, I am healthy and young looking and work around the yard , trimming cedar hedge and lawn mowing; and in winter shoveling snow. . He is the doctor that one can talk to and discuss health issues.

I was transferred to Dr. Palaic after an angioplasty. At the first appointment, he obviously hadn't read my file and contradicted me when I tried to explain my situation. He later had to call me to clarify what I was trying to explain to him. At the end of this first appointment, his recommendations where in contradiction with the cardiologist that followed me right after the angioplasty. I tried to get clarification on this contradiction, but he was not listening to me. I got a second appointment 15 months later and I found him rude and I still didn't get answers to my questions. It's been 29 months since this last appointment and I never heard from him. I'm now looking for another cardiologist. He's certainly the worst medicine doctor I've ever been faced with.

Dr. Palaic is an excellent professional and I prefer him to other Cardiologists. He tries to be as quick in dealings with his patients because they hate waiting as everyone else does. It's his staff that help out and keep the wait time down to a minimum without compromising patient care.

Since my heart attack 4 1/2 years ago and a few subsequent visits following when he raised my Lipitor to the point of liver failure, I have not heard back from his office.
I am also looking at PVD as my legs and feet are numb always.
No follow up from this cardiologist. Linda Smith

I saw Dr. Palaic at the hospital. He was professional and thorough. I could tell he demanded the best from his assistants as well, just the doctor I wanted.
He was perfect! He ran extra tests on me, which I appreciated greatly. I felt very confident in the care I was getting. I usually hate doctors and hospitals, but dr, Palaic changed that. He is a very competent doctor who cares about saving lives!

A GP at a clinic looked at my blood test results and told me that I was a heart attack and stroke waiting to happen; which was very alarming since everything had always been normal or near normal for a 65 year old, active woman! My carotid ultrasound was 1 point elevated. My BP was borderline. My cholesterol was .4 of a point above normal. She insisted I takeBP lowering meds as well as statins which I did not want to do because of the side effects and what I had read about Big Pharma lowering 'normal' cholesterol levels twice over the previous years in order to make most of us over 60 require statins.(95% of men) Once home I thought if I was a heart attack or stroke waiting to happen, why did she not send me to a cardiologist?... I made an appt with Dr. Palaic whom I had seen years ago. It was for in 8 months! When I did finally see him, I walked into his office and he was looking at the test results with a confused expression. He asked WHY I was there. For the cholesterol results he said they were normal. As for my borderline BP, he said to lower my salt intake and exercise more to lose some weight. And for the ultrasound of my carotid artery, he said that it is a new exam and no one really knows what 'normal' is and not to worry about +1. Dr. Palaic was very reassuring. I went back to the GP and told her she was out of line with her alarmist message and rush to prescribe drugs when my condition was fine according to the cardiologist and that lifestyle changes could have been recommended. I met with major defensiveness. I like Dr. Palaic's sensible approach and that he does not rush to prescribe unless of course it is necessary.

A narcissistic doctor who thinks way too much of himself.
