Great doctor. Glad to have found him. As a gay man, I have specific healthcare requirements that are not easy to find in small towns. After contacting multiple doctors and clinics for relatively basic sexual health monitoring/prevention questions.. and getting deer-in-the-headlights from all of them.. it was refreshing to find a doctor who is knowledgable about LGBT sexual health. Dr. Nieman was accomodating and helpful. Keeps in touch and stays informed. Good guy. Highly recommend.

Doctor Nieman is a fine man though his attitude is no the best at times I just wish he would be more manerable just hasn't got the PR . Forgiven.
PS Doctors have lot of stress . May God guide him in his life.

This doctor is seriously incompetent and should be reported to the College of Physicians and Surgeons. A family member of mine went into ER and something very concerning showed up on the chest x-ray, and the bloodwork showed clear signs of a serious infection. Dr. Nieman sent my family member home with only a painkiller and anti-inflammatory. No antibiotics. We were told to come back in three days. Later that night my family member went very very downhill and we rushed to ER again where a different doctor had my family member rushed to Edmonton. A chest tube was inserted and we were immediately consulted by a surgeon. Stars helicopter was going to come but it was too foggy. So Dr. Nieman just sends them home but another doc is willing to call stars?? And the city said if we would've waited any longer my family member would've been in intensive care?? Something is seriously wrong with that picture. My
family will never be seeing him again.

I was sad when he left Calgary. I remember he had some of his own health problems, and was probably stressed out dealing with other peoples problems. He really helped me, and I hope he is doing well in Viking.

Dr. Nieman used to be a great family Dr. but that has definitely changed. He doesn't even act like he cares about his patients or their concerns. Definitely in it for the money. Does minimal testing and refuses to take patients seriously. He's always the smartest person in the room and enjoy belittling everyone around him. Don't waste your time with this jerk.

He has been my dr for 3 years now and is phenominal. I have never had such an amazing dr. He never rushes you and answers any questions you have. He is super helpful. If he can't help you he sends you to the specialist you need as quickly as possible. He takes all concerns seriously and sends you for any tests he sees fit.

I can't explain how grateful I am for this man! I went from dr to dr trying to find an answer to why I felt so awful for EIGHT YEARS! . Every doctor said I just needed to see a nutritionist after I said I couldn't loose weight. That seemed to be the only symptom they heard out of 20! Dr Nieman sat and listened with concern. Didn't make me feel like I had to rush out of there. After 8 years, and many doctors. He was the only one who listened, cared, and found a cancer lump. Today I am cancer free, and all thanks to him! He also delivered my first baby and will deliver the rest. I thank God for Dr. Nieman!!
