I met Dr Couture when she was at Woodlawn. She then moved to Bayers Lake. The 45 minutes drive each way to see her, is so worth it;) She is an Amazing, Knowledgeable, Warm & Caring Physician. She is thorough and Always takes the time to listen to our concerns and make our worries go away by re assuring us. From the moment she greets us at the door till the moment she says take care you feel that she does really have our best interest at heart. Our Daughter LOVES to go see Dr Sophie. She is the only Dr that gives her shots and she doesn't cry. She as a way with children and us parents. Dr Sophie Thanks for Taking such Good Care of Our Family. You are truly and Angel.

When Dr. Couture moved to Bayer's Lake, I went to see her once. I was there THREE HOURS because she was so overbooked. She didn't want to listen to talk to me about anything because she was so vehemently busy. I really liked her when she was in Dartmouth but have since left to find a doctor closer to me AND who does NOT overbook or double book patients. I don't want to spend three hours for a 10 minute appointment.

Je m'appelle Louise et j'ai un grand plaisir de vous parler de cette femme qui a bien choisi son métier : aider les gens quand ils en ont le plus besoin. Je suis immigrante en NS et quand j'arrivais mon 1er souci a été ma santé en Français. Mon 1e médecin a été décevant et très froid. J'ai eu la chance d'avoir Dr Couture qui est humaine, professionnelle et très accueillante. Quand je suis malade, dès que Dr Couture me reçoit avec son sens très humain, je suis déjà guérie à 60%. Grâce à ce docteur, j'ai surmonté plusieurs maladies et stress et je me sens vivre en sécurité en NS car ma santé est bien prise en charge. I would like to thank and recommend this great human doctor, DR Sophie Couture. She is professionnal, compassionate, kind, humane, considerate, tolerant, generous, empathic and sensitive. Dr Couture has the ability to sort out patients’ history, picking up patients details, obtaining appropriate test to come to a diagnosis. it's why she is my family's doctor with my son.

Dr.Couture is a very good doctor. She makes you feel at ease and comfortable to talk about your health issues, she is compassionate and is very thorough. She is quick to refer you to specialists and order blood work. She shows confidence and is very knowledgeable. I moved two hours away from her clinic last year and kept her as my family doctor. I'm just hoping she'll stay in NS for many years.

I love this doctor! Sophie Couture is the best GP I have ever had. I was lucky to find her. I had dropped into a walk-in clinic and she was on duty. I was so impressed I asked if she could be my family doctor when she opened her new practice She is kind, knowledgeable and very thorough. She doesn't look for the easy diagnosis. She is never dismissive of any concerns a patient might have. I find so many doctors can be condescending and make you feel reluctant to bring up things you are worried about. She is always compassionate and makes you feel like your well-being is her #1 concern. Dr. Couture is very prompt and I have never waited more than 10-15 minutes, yet she never rushes through your appointment. Her staff are great too. My greatest fear is that she might someday move away from the province.

Although she was very nice, she did not inspire confidence. We new it was time to find a new doctor when my husband went in to get treatment for a pilonidal sinus and she asked if he was congested. (A pilonidal sinus occurs at the tailbone.)

I had dr couture as my dr the minute she moved to ns. I have never felt so cared for in my life and felt important as she makes you feel. She has the time to listen and always gave me complaiments on my appearence no matter how i feel. She also calls on first name bases. I now am living in Ont where I yet have a family dr. I am so waiting till she moves back to Ottawa so i can become once again become her Patient. I will never find a dr like her. So all you patients out there that have. Be greatful cause she is amazing.

She is a wonderful doctor. She is very kind, understanding, and knowledgable. She takes the time to listen to your concerns, and doesn't just get you in and get you out like some doctors. That means a lot to me.

Dr. Couture is wonderful. She is knowledgable, friendly and puts you at ease immediately. She is great with me, my husband and my new baby. we all just love her.
