Ihave been going to Dr Davidson for almost 15 years and only visit when absolutely necessary. In the past 5 years, I have noticed that my concerns have been downplayed. He no longer listens and totally minimizes what could be a serious situation with a "hunch". I expect that he should take all precautions to be sure of his diagnosis. I loathe the idea of locating a new GP, but feel this to be my only option.

Michael Davidson is quite possibly the most unprofessional doctor I have ever seen. Saying to me "your neurotic, its all in your head", I was quite ill and saw another doctor immediately after him who resolved my issue. For a young person to be in such pain it makes me faint is not normal. Regardless of the situation patient bedside manner is something which cannot be underrated. DO NOT see this doctor if you have any other options.

While 10 minute appointments are mandated by the gov, missing a broken neck after a car accident is a serious misdiagnosis. I've decided to pay for my visits to doctors, because you get what you pay for in this world, and I don't need another life threatening incident to convince me of the need to go to a doctor that spends the time necessary to do a competent diagnosis. You're in better hands when you pay. Bring in private health care alternatives to this province, so that people who can afford it can get better treatment than the 10 minute 'drive through' service called MSP B.C.

Dr. Davidson is an excellent family physician who makes a sincere effort to understand your issues as part of an overall person. He has a wry sense of humour that might get him in trouble with the overly-literal but what I really appreciate is his honesty about what he knows (which is considerable) and what he doesn't. He gives you all the nuances of the state of medical knowledge and makes you participate in the process of diagnosis and prescription.

Smartest and most caring family doctor I have ever visited. Yes, he runs late --- but who cares when he is so sharp and focussed on you when it is your turn. Not afraid to say he doesn't know something, but will do research and consult other doctors to get you some answers. He has helped me for years, dealing with small things and big illnesses (cancer). In the latter case, he helped "humanize" the process when the oncologist and others did not have time to answer my questions. I just hope he doesn't retire anytime soon.

My experience with Dr. Davidson - I fired him! This came after he repeatedly trivialized a sore I had on my leg for three months by treating it with topical antibiotic creams. (I am not diabetic - I had a skiing injury twenty years ago and was left with nerve and circulatory problems in my leg which only needed to be monitored by a GP unless there was complications), I ended up with an incredibly painful Venous Ulcer and was off work for 6 weeks while it healed. I am left with a nasty scar and a very sensitive area susceptible to infections. No thanks to Dr. Know it All Davidson. If he had paid attention to the initial infection, it would have saved much pain and suffering, loss of work, loss of income, etc. And yes he was always consistantly late.

Is difficult to get him to believe you....plays down your concerns. Gives outdated info. Apparently is good with hospital visits.

He's been my whole family's family doctor for years. I found him very knowledgeable, lets say he knows what he is saying and doing. On the other hand: He is always late. He always think I'm exaggerating. In total I won't change my family doctor!

Mike Davidson has been our family Dr for over 25 years! I cannot say enough positive things about the attention to detail he provides. He is always friendly, thorough, great sense of humour and never thinks twice about sending us to specialists when needed. We moved from the North Shore 16 years ago and we still travel from Squamish to see him. I have no problem waiting for my appointments as I know he's with somebody who needs the time and attention, he does the same with all his patients, never rushes us out when we need the time. Others should be so lucky to have a Doctor like him who cares so much.We consider him a good friend as well as our Doctor.
