Just thinking of you tonight Doc. No one has yet filled your shoes. Remembering your skill, your kindness, and that wonderful sense of humour! Missing how you were ALWAYS there for your patients in an emergency. A phone call was all it took, and you were there, even when it was for a family member of one of your patients. You will always be missed. Rest in peace Doc.

Dr Ling is a wonderful doctor, he was really helpful to me when I was a patient. He always took the time to talk to me and ask me about my family. He is greatly missed in the medical profession. I know this is not a sounding board to comment on other people's comments, but the individual that made remarks to the speediness of his brain surgery and that this place would be a better place without him, should be ashamed of themselves for making such insensitve statements and for the lack of consideration for his family and the people that love and care for him.

Probably the only doctor I know who is truly LOVED by his patients. Please pray for Barry tonight. Latest news on his blog is not encouraging, but as usual, his message is upbeat and inspirational. We love you Doc, and a million prayers and hugs are going your way.

I was very sorry to hear of Dr. Ling's cancer diagnosis. He was my surgeon in 1992 when I had a severely fractured ankle resulting from slip & fall on ice. I found him to be knowledgeable, understanding, kind, and so easy to talk to. I think that his absence from his practice is a big loss to the medical community. Thank you Dr. Ling for everything you have given to your patients and I always enjoyed your wonderful sense of humour. You always made me smile no matter how miserable I was feeling. Dr. Barry Ling has operated on my knees twice now. He is an excellent doctor. We really miss him and wish him only the best!

my husband and i have been with dr. ling for quite a long time now,and he is just something else.his personalty is a-1,not too often you like to goto a dr. but it is a pleasure to sit and chat with him .one of the best around!!!!!!

He may be a good surgen, but as far as a doctor, he sucks. I seen him re: a knee injury 6 times, on the 3rd visit he bent my knee 3 times and that was the examination in total. Each visit lasted no more than 5 min. It was wait and see each time. It was a work injury, it just seemed he wanted to rack-up as many visits possible, $$$. Only after insisting he do something proactive did I get results, surgery, and I waited 2 months to get that. Dr. Ling figured he would wave his magic scalpel and I could dance out of the recovery rm.. WRONG. After finding a massive cartledge tear it took 10 weeks of physio/work conditioning befor I could limp back to work. Thanks for nothing you useless peace of crap. I notice you didn't have to wait long for your tumor surgery. If you don't return to practice med. PEI will be better off.

I think the world of Dr. Ling, I have been with him for many years, he has pulled me through some very rough times,I am going to miss him. God plese Bless him and carry him through his health troubles.

i had to get my knee replaced only doc that would do it cause they said i was too young to get it do but my faithful doctor ling had no problem to do it i couldnt even bend my knee when i walked and pain was unreal but now i can walk with bendin my knee and pain free he has a good sense of humour the best doctor always happy go lucky hope everything goes well for you doc i dunt know what i will do if i got to get my other knee done...... luv ya doc
