I have no idea of what Dr. Labella is like regarding other issues. She works in a walk in Clinic when I see her. She treats me for diabetes and gives me 4 minutes of her time. But she seems capable and knowledgeable and helpful. She is smart. If she had her own practice, I would want to be her regular patient. I would want her for a family doctor.

I was a patient of Dr. Labella's years ago. On my first visit she reprimanded me for arriving 2 minutes late and deliberately treated the patient scheduled after me to make a point, and then told me so. I have spent over 3 hours waiting for doctors in the past, and appreciated the fact that she was punctual, however, the way she made her point was less than compassionate. I found Dr. Labella thorough at times, but rather condescending. She told me that doctors hated patients like me- who come in with abdominal pain- as it could be "one of a hundred reasons", and that "one could manifest pain". In short, she made me feel like I was a waste of her time. I found out in one visit to a blood analyst what I was trying to accomplish with Dr. Labella for almost 3 years! I was glad to see her leave our clinic.

My wife and I have seen Dr. Labella for over 10 years. A little harder at the new clinic which takes a lot of walk-ins but still worth it. I too have a driver's form to be filled from time to time. Contrary to the previous writer, I RESPECT doctors who want to know the driver and his medical history before signing 'a form'. It is NOT just a form, but the doctor's legal opinion that my history is accurate and that I am safe to drive with a higher level licence than the average driver. When I first met Dr. Labella I took the form in weeks before it was due, had a complete physical, the doctor got to know me, and ten years later she does my forms more quickly obviously and my wife loves her too. Funny that the patients on so many doctor's ratings sound rude themselves when they complain a doctor is rude. That's life I guess. In conclusion -- great, caring, thorough one ina million doc.

Dr. Labella was one of my favourite doctors... I was disappointed when she left the clinic where she was my GP. She was always very kind and compassionate and really took the time to listen so that her advice and treatment would be the best possible. I hope she's doing well.

A wonderful, kind doctor. Extremely thorough, knowledgeable and understanding. Will refer when necessary and carefully listens to all issues. One of the best doctors I have ever had even though the walk-in wait can be lengthy.

Was thrilled to have a woman doctor until I actually saw her. She was condescending and rude. When I asked about cholesteral tests she quoted me the costs of medical services (??)and let me know the policy on tests as governed by the Province. She insulted every question I had and seemed to take great pleasure in my discomfort. My recommendation - try somebody else!!

I have been to see Dr. Labella on a "walk in" basis on several occasions. I find her very knowledgable, caring and thorough. I actually prefer her to my regular doctor and consult with her whenever my concern is urgent. I would like to have her as my family doctor and regret that she does not have her own practice.

I do not have a regular Doctor since I am generally a healthy individual. I went to the City Place Medical Centre to have a Drivers Medical form filled out for my Class 2 Licence, since my last Drivers Medical was completed at this clinic. I was put in an examination room to be seen by Dr. Labella. When she came in the room and seen the form to be completed, she stated that she would not complete the forms for me. She stated, "I have been burned to many times on these things - people come to me, I complete their forms, and they turn out to be alcoholics." What am I to think about this - that I am an alcoholic? I don't even drink alcohol. All I needed was a cerified 'physician' to fill out the forms so that I could keep my drivers licence, and my job. Maybe I should be sick more so that I start seeing a regular Doctor!

Lisa Labella is a very intelligent and caring phyician. She knows her own limits and knows when to refer to specialists and does so appropriately. She is an asset to our medical system and other phyicians could learn from her.
