No one wants a non-hodgkins, stage IV diagnosis, but if you do find yourself with a cancer diagnosis, you better hope Dr. Wittenkeller is your medical warrior! He is kind, direct and smart. It's so important to have confidence in your care team. I get a lot of my medical info from Google and Grey's anatomy, so I really appreciate Dr. Wittenkeller's patience in answering all of my nutty and radical theories/remedies that I had researched on my own. He has a genuine understanding of the patients need to know every step of the way. His expertise and knowledge gives peace that my treatment plan is the best plan for me. It's been 5 years since my diagnosis and I'm grateful to say that I'm currently in remission. I don't believe in coincidence and feel that Dr. Wittenkeller is the oncologist I need to survive, thank you! ~Diana S

A WONDERFUL doctor! The moment he walked into my hospital room, even with a Dx of Hodgkin's Lymphoma, I KNEW he would make me better! Dr. W has a terrific beside manner (he rarely wears a white coat. When I first met him, he was in a suit coat with patches on the elbows.) and gives detailed explanations about treatments and procedures you may have to go through. He's a genuinely concerned "Old School" doctor, who really cares about his patients. I really couldn't have asked for a better doctor to treat me, as he made me feel comfortable right away, explained what was going to happen (and what MIGHT happen! Possible side effects, etc.) and WHY, which (IMHO) is so important! A genuine man and doctor, who actually cares. You can't ask for better! I'm just over a year in remission, yet he still follows me as closely as if I were just diagnosed. I highly recommend him. If you can possibly GET well, he'll do his best to get you there. And he's nice. :)
