I saw Dr Sorenson as an out of network surgeon to get a second opinion after a bad experience with my first cataract surgery. He was extremely helpful in explaining what went on. He even referred me to another surgeon within my network who did a great job on my second eye.

I have continually been impressed with the level of care and expertise I feel at this practice. All the doctors, from the optometrist to the surgeon seem totally expert in what they do. While they may not spend a lot of time chatting, they answered all my questions. Another fun part was hearing other patients rave about how they were treated. Great place.

This whole group is old-school. They don't communicate with patients and generally treat them like morons or kindergarteners. You're lucky if you get one explanatory word out of them. With the paucity of information you get out of them as a patient, you have to wonder whether it is correct at all, or if they even give a damn. On top of that their office is like an assembly line - get 'em in, get 'em out.

I went to see Dr. Sorenson with an unusual, though not overly serious, eye condition. I know surgery is an option but wanted to discuss the pros/cons and implications. From the beginning of the discussion, Dr. Sorenson seemed more interested in rushing through my appointment and on to the next... this after I waited 45 minutes from my scheduled time. He was also fairly nonchalant about my condition - seems as though it might be common to him, but it is completely unknown to me and he seemed to forget my perspective. I walked away feeling bullied and more confused than ever about what I should do. I am not sure I want to return, despite his reputation as one of the best ophthalmologists around.
