Is not a competent doctor. Did not treat my high blood pressure (160/100) for years until my gyno called and suggested I be put on meds. Also did not treat my back, leg and foot pain, just with lots of pills, no tests. I saw another doctor for this and by the second visit he had ordered tests and MRI's and found out the diagnosis and started to treat my problems immediately.

As a new patient I was impressed by his up to date knowledge and I was promptly put on a newer cutting edge oral medicine for type II diabetes. He was excellent and the wait in this busy practice was acceptable. Staff was courteous and professional.

Don't go here. I went here because he was accepting new patients immediately. Big mistake. While seeing him for normal check ups, he tries to sell you supplements and bogus pills from some websites that must give him kickbacks. He also does weird surveys where they record you. He overcharges you for simple procedures, I'm currently paying off $450 for freezing a wart (i still have the wart) and i DO have health insurance. He loads in dozens of patients at once and only sees you for under 5 minutes. I don't think he cares about his patients at all, and his billing department isn't helpful at all. If you're looking for someone who wants to take your money whenever possible, go here.

It was recomended to me that I try an osteopath rather than an MD due to recurring sports injuries. I had sharp pain in my hand that would not go away. Souza wanted to do a chairopractic manipulation of my spine. I was NOT a believer in chiaropractors. But I let him talk me into it, and a few back crunches later I was out the door. My hand pain was GONE, this after weeks of aspirin and wrist excersizes trying to work it out. Amazing. He has done this to me a few times now, and I am resigned to the idea that my back gets out of whack and causes seemingly unrelated hand/wrist/shoulder pain. All I know is it works. I find him to be thoughtful, patient, and effective, so I go back. No pun intended.

He was almost 40 Minutes late, but my concerns were not urgent, so no big deal. Seems to know his stuff, and was hesitant to precribe drugs (I consider that a good thing). He didn't seem terribly concerned about my problems, but nothing I was asking about was life-threatening. However, he was very quick to suggest chiropractic treatment for a non-obvious problem (It wasn't back pain or something like that). I am not a believer in Chiropractic medicine, but if you are, you won't mind. All in all, I would return for another visit, but I might also shop around.

Dr. Souza is pretty good for some ailments but if you're really sick, he doesn't know what to do. Also, he is not an MD but rather a DO which is a negative in my book.
