Dr.Charania was my emergency room surgeon at RCH when I had my heart attack in fall 2019. Following by pass surgery, he has seen me twice for annual follow-ups. His asst Lisa is just wonderful, no arrogance or making you feel like you are a trouble. Dr. Charania gives the straight goods, the time you need to feel your concerns are addressed and that you are very much being treated as as an individual, not a number.

I feel very fortunate to have found this special person to look after my long term recovery.

Dr Charania & his assistant Lisa are both wonderful to deal with. There is no arrogance and you are made to feel like you are not a bother, quite refreshing. He is not difficult to make my annual follow up appt with.

I had a heart attack 4 weeks ago and had 2 stents put in. Yesterday I had my other blockage opened with 1 stent.

Dr Charania (or Jay as he insists I call him) is the sweetest, most approachable specialist I have ever met. He treats me like a person not a disease, he jokes with me and the result of the procedure looked incredible. Thank you, Jay. Don’t ever change.

He literally JUST saved my Mom's life after she came into the Royal Columbian Hospital with a massive heart attack. I am waiting here outside the angiogram lab for her to come out. Dr. "Jay" is kind, patient, soft-spoken, compassionate and clearly competent. Thank you Dr "Jay".

Dr. Charania saved my ninety-year-old mother's life. He performed two angioplasties: the first one -- during her massive heart attack, the secons one -- a few weeks later. Over the following few months she has completely recovered. Dr. Charania's excellent professional skills are equal to his unique personality. He is warm, genuine and humane. It was a blessing to have met him.

Dr Charania has taken over as my cardiologist post triple bypass. He is patient, knowledgeble, and friendly. He goes out of his way to answer all of my questions and took care to get me a rush stress test during challenging times. Thanks Dr Charania. I know I am in good hands.
