If I could give 5,000 stars, I would! I've been seeing Dr. Pradip Shah for nearly 5+ years. He goes out of his way to make sure all of your questions are answered. He works with you to address your health concerns and always makes sure you and him are on the same page and comfortable. The genuine care and respect he has for his patients is not only rare to see but truly incredible as I can also speak to this on a professional level. I frequently refer the families that I work with to his office and continue to receive the absolute best feedback about him, and his staff. I am so thankful and blessed to have him as my PCP! I truly recommend Dr. Pradip Shah to everyone and anyone! :)

He does nothing for elderly patients except talk to them and recommend medications. Simply put, stay away!

He dresses up and shakes hands. As for being a doctor to the elderly (or otherwise), do not put anyone you care about in his hands!! And good luck dealing with his R.N. Stay away!

I wish there was a place to leave info regarding his daughter. Is she a doctor, physician assistant or Clinique counter worker? She flounces around as if she knows it all, and flirts with other Indian doctors. Who needs that? Could Crane's Mill get some serious doctors, and get rid of the Shahs?

Dr. Pradip S. Shah was our mother's primary physician at Crane's Mill. He was genial, appeared professional, and seemed to function adequately in the role in dispensing medications and performing routine examinations. However in his position as a geriatric physician, he may be necessarily be involved in end-of-life decisions, and our family would advise taking great caution in partnering with Dr. Shah in that capacity. Our mother suffered a massive stroke at age 95. The prognosis for recovery offered from the neurologist and attending physician at Mountainside Hospital in Montclair indicated that no recovery was expected. They and the hospital social worker seemed relieved that she had an advanced directive instructing that no excessive measures to prolong life in a condition of hopelessness and suffering should be applied. Then Dr. Shah arrived on the scene with an entirely different view. Despite our wishes and the advanced directive, he said that our mother would return to Crane's Mill, and undergo a regime of therapy, and we would see how she improves over "days, weeks, and months." This was for a patient of extreme age, semi-conscious, with no ability be swallow, nearly blind, and with no hope of recovery. Our mother returned to Crane's Mill for hospice care after we finally prevailed on Dr. Shah that her advanced directive would be followed. At Crane's Mill we chose the St. Barnabas hospice care service over several others available on-site, including Dr. Shah's own resident hospice team. During the 2 weeks in hospice, we never again saw Dr. Shaw during our daily visits, even though he remained our mother's primary physician. Of all the individuals involved in her final illness and death, we never felt Dr. Shah was on the same page with us during that time of difficult decisions

Terrible. He takes people off meds they need to be on, doesn't like to do hands on examinations (um, there are no other kinds, either, lol). Why is he a ''best doctor''? Not in my book. Beware also if you send a loved one to Crane's Mill, where he is. Some of the aides there are the worst in the world (some are the best). Rude, bossy, mean aides. (esp in the afternoon / evening shift. Some really are the best, though). Why don't they get rid of the horrible ones? Shah is also way over the top haughty. He's not the king, someone please inform him.
