I was a patient of Dr Jacobs for almost thirty years. I am a nurse and highly respected Dr Jacobs. In his later years he became nonchalant and uncaring. I have severe asthma. I was hospitalized with a exacerbaton. He refused to come to the hospital for a consult. I was treated by physician assistants during my hospitalization. I went to Dr Jacobs for a follow up after my hospitalization. He was arrogant and stated : “you caused quite a raucous when you called my office to request that I come to the hospital to do a consult!” He emphatically stated: “I don’t do hospital consults!” This wasn’t the Dr I knew. It seems the years made him cold and uncaring. At my last appointment he told me he wanted to see me in a month. When I tried to make an appointment the receptionist stated he didn’t have any appointments until four months. I asked if I could see another physician in his practice I was told they don’t have any appointments either. I stood there in disbelief. Needless to say Dr Jacobs is no longer my pulmonologist. The years have really taken a toll on Dr Jacobs. For the sake of his patients I sincerely hope he retires sooner than later

First I must say the doctor is knowledgeable. However, he has poor bedside manner and does not listen to the patients. So if you do not care about a doctor with personable skills, then you will be fine with this doctor.

I have been with Dr. Jacobs since 11/12/10 my experience with Dr. Jacobs has been great he is a caring Dr. and listen to everything you say. Very kind and approachabile and has good bed -side mannrs. Will continue to see Dr. Jacobs.Wish all Drs. were like him.

Dr. Jacobs is very thorough, friendly, caring, and competent. He has carefully worked with me and is extremely understanding. I wish he were a primary care physician. All physicians should be this great.
