This doctor is certainly wild... he told me the pain i had during my 1st coloscopy (adult size, i had ulcerative colitis @ 16 & was followed @ the sick kids hospital) the pain was so horrible when the scope came around the 90 degree turn (top left)... i cried it hurt so much. all he concluded the next day (i had been hospitalized 24 hrs) was that the pain was all in my head, that i should see a head doctor to help me deal with child abuse (which i never had) i really DO NOT recommend this doctor to anyone, he truly doen't care & has no feelings... God help him! (this happened to me in 1998) and i never went back to see him... thank God!

After being told that I was simply suffering from bleeding hemorrhoids i was fortunate to be referred to see Doctor Wild. He took my problem seriously and did a colonoscopy a few days later. He diagnosed a rectal cancer and referred me to Dr Barry Stein's team. Doctor Wild's skills, compassion and caring saved my life

Dr. Wild SAVED ME!!. I fell through the system- bouncing from one ER to another when he agreed to see me - the morning after I demanded to see him in the ER ( I had seen Dr. Wild several years ago and knew of his expertise). By this time my Crohn's disease had eaten its way through my colon and a colostomy seemed the only thing in sight. Dr. Wild admitted me and we tried TPN (no food) and IV meds - I showed some improvement so we continued. One month later I was out and in remission. Had it been any other doctor I am certain he/she would not have been the visionary like Dr. Wild and I would be writing to you today as patient with a colostomy. I am still in remission 6 yrs later one day at a time - I count my blessings!

Liked him until I mentioned that I was going to get a second opinion. He flew off the handle and made my decision to leave him easy by stating that I was no longer welcome back if I saw another GI. This surprised both his nurse and me since he is normally a pretty calm and reasonable (I thought). Best move I made because the new GI helped me get my latest flare-up under control using info (colonoscopy) in my file from Dr. Wild. Otherwise, Dr. Wild is always busy and thus has very little time for each patient, he is generally humorous, and pleasant. In the end, if he keeps you in remission...great. It wasn't for me though.

Good Doctor. I recommend him. Despite of my bad English (immigrant) he was always kind, serious, punctual and took care of every detail.

Dr. Wild made me feel like having crohn's disease was my fault, all in my head. in the 1 year he was my gastro, never gave me feedback to my results. the only advise was that i should take anti depressants and to quit my job. lied to me and told me that he filled out my insurance papers for work (manulife called me to tell me that they never received anything). to this day. was in emergency this week for really bad attack and he was "too busy" to come and see me but made sure to relay the msg that it wasn't a crohn's related issue i was having. very upsetting. going back to GP to be referred to private doctor. even though this dr is recommended, trust me, not worth the grief he gives.

Was punctual, extremely nice, soft and reassuring, took his time to explain me things and went beyond what I was there for, helping me with some other problems I was having. I was surprised to meet such a sweet person, after all, I would not be a happy person having to look at behinds all day ... He gave me the choice to have my tests at the clinic or at the hospital, and it was MY decision to have them at the clinic. I'd much prefer to pay (I am fortunate enough to be able to do so) than to go to the hospital and get all kinds of deseases. All in all, I feld reassured, well taken care of, and felt much better. Now, I'll be back to give a rating on the actual tests in 2 weeks.

Went to another Gastro and was diagnosed with Crohn's. Obnoxious, rude and did not care about my symptoms i could have been a rock he would have paid as much attention. STAY AWAY!

After being diagnosed with large ovarian masses and a large mass on my small bowel. I was referred to a gyno-oncologist and to another GI. After waiting for an urgent consult from the other GI for 2 months, Dr. Wild was kind enough to take me as a patient. Within 1 week, he had done the complete series of tests! I am so grateful to have found him. He is knowledgeable, honest, caring and has a great sense of humor. He took the time to explain everything and his fears in my diagnostic. After spending 2-3 days a week in hospitals for the last 4 months, I can honestly say that he is a GEM. I have never waited more than 10 minutes to see him. I strongly recommend Dr. Wild. Thanks Dr. Wild and keep up the good work!

Dr. Wild makes you feel like another "demanding patient". May be knowledgeable and an expert in his field, but if you can`t communicate with your physician, it certainly is counterproductive! He really gives the impression that he doesn`t seem to care (in my opinion) unfortunately. I wonder what motivated him to enter medicine. How can someone who sincerely wants to help people treat them so poorly and indifferently. I felt so worthless. It takes so little to be civilized, and it can make a huge diffrence in someone`s life. If sress is an important factor in I.B.D., he certainly can be a contributing factor. It really is unfortunate.
