Dr Dawson has decades of experience which he applies with expert care. He is always in demand by the community in and around Kamuela, so it is almost a guarantee that he will not see you at your appointed time. He is an excellent listener and diagnostician. I have received medical care in Los Angeles, Palo Alto, Tokyo, Honolulu, Hong Kong and a few other big cities--and Dr. Dawson is among the best.

He is a very good Doctor, and he knows other Doctors with expertise in other fields of specialty (He has referred me to other Doctors that have helped me fix some of my health problems. He is a fine Dr. and no one can say otherwise.

I agree entirely with the first reviewer. 15 years ago John Dawson did well by me and got me cured with physical therapy instead of suggesting surgery. But now! he is too busy with too many patients. One year ago he completely missed my problem. If I had not gone to another doctor, I could have died. It's a good thing I listened to myself and sought out another doctor.

John Dawson years ago was a right on in his practice. Over the years he has taken on to many challenges and this has taken away from his patents to a point were they now start to fall through the cracks. When this started to happen my wife and I decided to move to another doctor. We talk to other patents and hear the same thing that paper work and other things that need to be taken care of just are not getting done. When you get in to see him he makes a diagnosis and your out of there be for you can get answers to questions. The doctor that we now see takes the time to talk to you about what ever problem you might have, we are glad that we changed.

Unfortunately, Dr. Dawson is not worthy to be called a "physician". Over the years at the hospital, he has made many medical mistakes.....often to the point where another physician must step in to correct the diagnosis and/or treatment. Too many errors in professional judgement have made patients dubious of his diagnosis, attitude, and behavior.
