I am not happy with this doctor as he was rude and rushed me out. Not helpful at all. Very unprofessional with no communication skills.

Have had Dr. Kumar for the last 20 years for my children and he has been amazing in all aspects. Anytime I had concerns he is always there to help me understand. My youngest still see's him and is thriving!!! Great doctor for all my children's needs!!

Yes he can be gruff but my kids love him. He has always had the time for us. He has even sat down and played with my son while is was getting the next appointment booked.

Worst visits with him. Always talk to us condescending , making us feel like we're idiots that should have known what to do already.
He is very defensive, kept saying "it's not his fault he has this and that" even though I wasn't putting any blame on him but perhaps he was putting blame on us.
He is also very inpatient. He hurries up as fast as he can, ex: while checking my sons ears , he didn't give me the time to hold his head and arm down instead he ALOT of forces to move my sons head the direction he wanted it in, again not giving me the time to position my son.
He didn't check everything he should have ex: temperature...

He gave us a prescription that doeskin seem quite right for my son... i looked it up and there's a lot of side effect .... he just wrote the prescription to shove us out the door...
He was SO rude the way he spoke to us that i even got watery eyes because he made me feel like a terrible mother.

I am NEVER bringing my son there again, just awful person to be around with. Makes me wonder why he even works in this field. Speaking to parents about their kids is already a touchy subject when their sick, doesn't help to have a rude, condescending , impatient jerk in the mix.

This doctor is the worst! I brought my 3 yea old in, as i was seeking help for my son and his behavioral issues, as he gets vey violent with me and his sister.i DID NOT go in the look to get my son on meds, basically he told me that he has a bad gene it will never get better and i could have simple avoided the whole situation by never being with his father and not having him, i do not regret having him this doctor made me feel horrible about my self and talk down on my son and simple said come back when he is 4 well start ridlin . This is not what i wanted for my child i wanna to find programs to help with his problems or help me deal with him better. This doctor was no help and was a complete **** with only asking me a few questions decided meds are the way to go... His nurse however awsome lady! Currently seeking a second opinion as i dont agree with him!

When I was going to Dr.Kumars as an ADHD patient. When I started (age 7-8, about grade 3, graduated gr.12 now)with him he said that Im going to go on Ritalin and for some reason that I don't remember I refused and said that "Im not taking Ritalin". He admittedly said that "If you dont Im going to pull you out of school!"in a stern voice. Being a kid and my mom not having any knowledge of what a pediatrician could do,I knew being pulled out of school was a bad option so I agreed. Ritalin did work but not really. When your hyper you can't learn but on Ritalin you can't learn either. It gives you a zoned out calmness to a point that you still can't pay attention and learn because your so zoned out.I have tried another med and Concerta was a much better choice and worked for my calmness an ability to learn. You should do research on different medication for adhd/add for short term and long term side affects. Some of these pills could do some permanent damage for the rest of you kids lives.

I have had Dr. Kumar as my son's pediatrician since he was 8 months old. At age 3 my son was diagnosed ADHD, it runs in his fathers family. Dr. Kumar never listens to what I have to say and is always seeking to increase the prescription dosages without knowing what the issue is. He constantly complains that he cannot do anything with all of these young children that are diagnosed with ADHD. He told CAS that I cannot handle my son at all and that the problem is with me. (this was after I asked him for a 2nd opinion regarding my son and demanded a referral to a child psychiatrist. He often belittles me and refuses to listen to what I have to say, he has major issues with single parent mothers and is very rude and condescending. When I was with my ex and he would come to Dr's app'ts Dr Kumar was nice and answered all questions, now I hate going there because all it seems he wants to do is drug my son, even recommended anti psychotic meds for a 4 yr old. Find another doctor!

great doctor, had him for my son since he was born, who is now 16 months. He is very straight forward and to the point. takes the time to answer questions and address concerns. i like the fact that he does not like you to drug up your baby before bringing them in for needles like many doctors recommend.
