You wonder why doctors are leaving Cape Breton, this is why, being bad mouth and ripping staff apart. I go to Dr. Wawer and he is an excellent doctor and his staff are great. I have been there and witness the verbal abuse the staff take from other patients. So maybe instead of bad mouthing them and hiding who you are, speak to Dr. Wawer. Don’t be a coward and if your not happy there, find another doctor.

He is a great Dr. who has always listened to concerns and implemented tests if need be. His administrative staff is extremely rude and unprofessional though, almost to the point that I’m deterred from making appointments. I’ve asked to speak to an office manager after one extremely out of line interaction on the phone I asked to speak to an office
manager and was laughed at. Even prior to this, I’ve had to go out of my way to ensure that they actually send out referrals every time after waiting over a month each instance. A fantastic doctor whose practice is being negatively impacted by very unprofessional office staff!

This Dr. Is excellent however I recommend he reviews his administrative assistants. I recieved a letter in the mail stating I was a "no show" for a phone appointment I did not recieve. When trying to explain to the secretary on the phone the situation she replied with "he always calls his patients" when I told her if the fine could be revoked if I brought in proof of no call she snarky said "well if you got it you can take it to Wilda, do you want to book an appointment?" because I work almost daily I said "no" because I didn't know when I was off. She proceeded to laugh in my ear. As of to say the phone appointment you wanted couldn't be that important. This is not the first time I've heard of this lady being rude. You are a professional in a medical setting. I hope you see this and consider how you approach his patients.

This is the worst doctor I have ever dealt with in my life
Pushed me out with no medication laughing smiling while I’m crying in pain
Told me it’ll go away on its own
Go to another hospital got iv, antibiotics and a follow up appointment
I would never see him again in my life or recommend him to anybody
My throat could have closed while I was sleeping and he thinks I’m fine

Dr Wawer delivered me, He is very knowledgable and gets all required testing, Mary goes above and beyond always pleasant happy and will do whatever she can, Wilda is also great always busy non stop, great clinic great staff

I've been a patient since I was a child and now have two children we love Dr wawer and in my experience if he didn't know or wasn't sure he did not hesitate to contact who did. Always kind and his longtime secretary is wonderful and always polite and helpful. If on the rare occasion I've visited the er and he was on I knew my children and I would be properly looked after.

Dr Wawer has been my doctor since I was born, he delivered me, I 100% trust him and he always listens to my concerns and offers solutions, he has no problem sending me for extra testing or to a specialist if need be. He is very easy to get in to see (busy phones though, so call early!) and you're never waiting long.. hes very fast unless you need the extra time. He is my favourite doctor!

Been a patient for about 20 years, and for the past several years my wife is a patient. We both think he's great... he's easy to talk to, doesn't mess around with issues, very knowledgeable, and has no problem sending you for further tests to confirm his diagnosis, getting appointments is fairly easy ( call early, a busy office ) and many on the same day if needed.
You never have to wait long, he's quite punctual. His staff are friendly and accommodating.
Dr. Wawer is an excellent physician.
