I have seen Dr. Ove a few times recently for my torn ACL. Dr. Ove has been absolutely phenomenal. I love his bedside manner, he’s extremely knowledgeable & answered any questions I had. Surgery went smoothly & both post op appointments were wonderful! highly recommend Dr. Ove!

Had ACL replacement by Dr. Ove 15-years ago. He was very reassuring, helpful, patient and the surgery was an absolute success. I have sense then recommended Dr. Ove to several friends, family members and athlete's I've coached.

So why the poor rating? Simply put, unlike my experience with him 15-years ago, his "bed side manner" has changed. During a recent appointment, he only allowed one (1) question and then left the room immediately. When I attempted a second question, after getting dressed and leaving the room, he was visibly displeased. At first, I thought I must have caught him on a bad day (everyone has them), so I let it go. A week later, I had a follow-up appointment where, after he looked at my MRI results, Dr. Ove said he "could" perform surgery (he wasn't recommending it and he wasn't wholly resistant to it either). So, I had questions to make sure I was making an informed decision. For this second appointment, I was able to ask two (2) questions before he abruptly exited the room. For the first appointment, I was very willing to see this as an aberration - but twice within a week - this, unfortunately, appears to be the new normal. Too bad, because I considered Dr. Ove, at one point, to be a top notch doctor and would have never considered seeing anyone else when I started having issues with my other knee.

Dr. Ove did a very through clean out on my left knee and now he is going too repair my shoulder that has been unstable for years now i am very happy with him and his staff i highly recommend him and his staff... i give him an A+++++++++

Dr. Ove did the orthoscopic surgery on my knee, due to a torn miniscus, surgery went excellent, he is very thorough in explaining what and how he was going to do the operation. Anne Arundel Hospital is the best! A++++++

Dr. Ove has the best communications with his patients. He and his staff calls pts. after surgery. If a problem exists the call twice a day to check on pts. condition. He is professional and caring; he takes an extended period of time explaining what needs to be done and what he was able to do. We would recommend him to anyone and will be returning for any help we might need in the future.
