The service was great and the people were friendly. They understood that I had an injury and gave concern for that. I have been to Montgomery Orthopedics twice for two different injuries, and both times, the staff was kind. Everything at Montgomery Orthopedics creates a warm and welcoming environment.

I would not go back to this practice. The wait is usually over an hour. You spend very little time with the dr and the staff kept trying to get me to see a physician's assistant instead. Despite knowing my copay for my insurance, I was overbilled and it was difficult to get them to figure out how to fix it. they didn't notify me of the mistake either - I had to ask about it. Physical therapy was also very frustrating. The wait was about an hour as well because doctors add patients without appointments in front of you. I didn't get any therapy there - just measuring my progress from the work I did at home. Physical therapy office is really old and musty too. Loud music and tons of patients makes it an unpleasant experience - especially when you don't feel like you got much out of the visit to begin with. The practice doesn't appear to be very well run and if you mention this to management, they agree and say they can't fix it. I had staff put Chinese food next to me in the room during a visit. Then during my visit, someone else came to get it during my meeting. Why are they putting Chinese food in the room with a patient? I also waited for over an hour once when they completely forgot about me. Then I was put at the end of the line of patients. Scheduling surgery was also not easy. They were supposed to call me a week prior to tell me what medicines I could take and what to stop. They didn't call. I called several times and had a lot of trouble getting a response. There seems to be a lot of blaming going on which wasn't the professional environment I feel most comfortable in. If anyone needed a recommendation, it would be very hard for me to tell them to go back to this practice. I've also been asking about a bill that they cannot explain. After a month, they still haven't sent me any info on what the charge is for.

Dr. Solomon does not examine thoroughly for a possible soft tissue injury after trauma. His exam was very cursory once he had an xray ruling out an elbow fracture. Just 10 days after a bad fall, I still had some very localized residual swelling, decreased range of motion, and point tenderness and bruising, and muscle spasm after overuse. He diagnosed "Regional Pain Syndrome" . "Complex regional pain syndrome is characterized by the presence of regional pain and sensory changes following a predominantly traumatic noxious event. Pain is associated with abnormal skin color, skin temperature changes, abnormal sudomotor activity, and edema." My symptoms do not match this diagnosis. I am not happy with his quick diagnosis of such a potentially debilitating chronic pain syndrome after such a brief exam. He did not explain the diagnosis. I had to look it up. He offered no treatment or therapy only NSAIDs which I told him I could not tolerate. :(
