If you go to the Pawtucket locatioj: Soooooooooooooo sketchy. RUN don't walk from there!! This so-called office was baron. There was a chair and desk and that was it. There were no diplomas, Licenses, certificates, or ANYTHING. There wasn't even a box of tissues, or anything that would identify this place as a medical office. It was truly the seediest medical place I have ever been to. No name tag on the DR. and for all I know, I may have nbeen examined by the delivery guy. The doctor was rude, would not let me explain/express what I was going through painwise. He phiscally examined me for less than 90 seconds. It was obvious that he had already made up his mind about me before he even met me. Who can ascertain a true "picture" of what is going on in less than 90 seconds. The place is a sham. i had 2 knees replaced and a hip with no problems. Dr Kornwitz is there to do the surgery and he does it well. His bedside manner is not why I go to him. He will answer any questions you have. Love his PA, Darlene.
So sad he left the practice.

My Husband had Dr Norman Korwitz and he is NOT A DR YOU CAN TALK TO HE IS STUFFY AND LACKS THE PATIENT CONCERN AND IS ONLY ABOUT THE MONEY AS MANY DR'S ARE . HE IS NOT A DR - SURGEON I WOULD RECOMMEND AS IF YOUR NERVOUS OR SCARED OF HAVING SURGERY THERE IS NO PATIENT CONCERN AND THERE IS NOT ANY CONSIDERATION OF THE PATIENT IN FRONT OF HIM .. THE NURSING STAFF ARE RUDE AND DO NOT TALK TO THE DR ABOUT YOUR CONCERNS .. MY HUSBAND WAS NERVOUS AND SCARED SO WE HAD TO RESCHEDULE THE SURGERY AND WHEN I DID ASK THE NURSE IF THE DR COULD AND WOULD GIVE HIM SOMETHING FOR HIS ANXIETY AND FEAR AND SHE SAID SHE WOULD TALK W THE DR ABOUT IT AND HE WOULD DO SO WHEN I CALLED THE OFFICE SHE SAID OH HE WILL GIVE HIM SOMETHING AT THE HOSPITAL . WHICH IS THE PROBLEM AT HAND .. ( GETTING HIM OT THE HOSPITAL IS ) SO THEN THE HOSPITAL SAID THE SURGERY WAS RESCHEDULE AGAIN SO I WAITED AN HOUR TO CALL THE OFFICE AS IT OPENS AT 9 AM I CALLED DR KORNWITZ OFFICE AND THE NURSE SAID IT WAS NOT CANCELLED . AND IF I COULD GET MY HUSBAND OT THE HOSPITAL BY 9:30 AM HE COULD HAVE THE SURGERY . BUT I LET THE RIDE WE HAD LEAVE DUE OT THINKING IT WAS CANCELLED AND NEEDED TO BE RESCHEDULE SO I WAITED FOR THE NURSE OT CALL ME BUT SHE DID NOT SO I CALLED THE DR'S OFFICE THE NEXT MORNING TO RESCHEDULE TI THE NURSE SAID SHE DID NOT KNOW WHEN IT WOULD BE RESCHEDULED BUT IT MAY BE JULY OR AUGUST SHE SAID SHE WOULD CALL ME BACK .. HOWEVER AGAIN SHE DID NOT CALL SO I CALLED HER .. NOW THIS NURSE OF DR KORNWITZ WAS SO DAM RUDE YELLING AT ME THAT MY HUSBAND COST THE HOSPITAL MONEY AND THE DR MONEY AND SHE DID NOT KNOW WHEN IT WOULD BE RESCHEDULED SO I HUNG UP WITH HER AND CALLED THE HOSPITAL AND TALKED WITHT HE HOSPITAL PERSON ( SUE ) WHO TAKES COMPLAINTS AGAINST DR'S SUE SAID SHE WOULD CALL TO FIND OUT WHAT IS GOING ON .. WELL I WAS WAITING FOR SUE TO CALL ME BACK WHEN MY HUSBAND RECEIVED A CERTIFIED LETTER FROM DR KORNWITZ , NOT A PHONE CALL NOTHING PERSON TO PERSON A DAM LETTER STATING HE WOULD NOT SEE MY HUSBAND ANYMORE .. HE STATED MY HUSBAND MISSED APPOINTMENT S WITH DR KORNWITZ AND HE CANCELLED 2 SURGERIES .. FIRST OF ALL MY HUSBAND ONLY SEEN DR KORNWITZ ONCE DUE TO A DR IN THE PRACTICE RETIRING AND NOT LETTING HIS PATIENTS KNOW PERSONALLY BUT AGAIN BY REGULAR MAIL .. SO DR KORNWITZ WAS PICKING UP THE PATIENTS DR RILEY LEFT BEHIND ... WHICH MY HUSBAND SEEN DR RILEY FOR 3 AND 1./2 YEARS WHICH DR RILEY KEPT PUTTING OFF THE SURGERY .. NOW DR KORNWITZ USED 3 1/2 YRS OF SEEING DR RILEY AS HIS OWN APPOINTMENT S AND USED IT AS AN EXCUSE NOT TO DO THE SURGERY .. WELL PEOPLE WHAT EVER HAPPENED TO THE DR'S HIPPOCRATIC OATH OF FIRST DO NO HARM AND THE PATIENT COMES FIRST ???? THIS DR HAS CAUSED MY FAMILY MORE HARM THAN ANY GOOD .. HE IS ONLY CONCERNED WITH HOW MUCH MONEY HE IS MAKING AND WILL THROW AWAY NAY PATIENT WHO GETS IN THE WAY OF HIM DOING SO .. I HAVE FILED A FORMAL COMPLAINT WITH THE DEPARTMENT OF HEALTH .. NOW MY HUSBAND HAS TO START ALL OVER WITH A NEW DR- SURGEON.. WHICH IS CAUSING MORE PAIN AND HARDSHIP ON MY HUSBAND AND OUR FAMILY ..... SO PLEASE DO NOT GO TO THIS DR OR PRACTICE IT IS LOCATED AT THE KENT HOSPITAL GROUNDS AND THIS DR IS STUFFY AND ONLY CARES ABOUT THE MONEY ..... HIS BEDSIDE MANNER IS NONE .. HE IS AN ARROGANT, STUFFY MAN WHO DOES NOT CARE ABOUT HIS PATIENTS i HAVE HEARD FROM SEVERAL OTHER PATIENTS WHO HAVE HAD THIS PROBLEM WITH HIM AND OTHER PROBLEMS AS WELL .. Have had meniscus repair on right knee after ice fall. Immediate results: pain free and full use. Doc was very personable. Returned years later after injury to left knee: evenutally needed TKR. Had to get physically prepared and recommend pre surgery excersize. No problems since surgery ! Minimal scaring, bruising, swelling. Superb work Doc Norman,Thanks! Nurse Darlene is super knowlege and excellent follow up.

2 appointmentDr.The receptionist was rude.While I was checking in another, patient was asking how long would it be, before she see the Dr. She been waiting for 45mins.Then the receptionist said, would you like to make another appointment,after she had been waitingfor45minsjust leave.Dr.Kornwitz and his employee in the hallway, discussing lunch and talking about another employee about 10mins. finally got to see the Dr.Was in and out no help,less then 5mins I got dress a, everyone was gone to lunch lights off,Next appointment same rude receptionist,once again but this time there where two people asking how long until they see the Dr One lady said she been waiting for an hour the other said 40 mins, then the receptionist response was not sure he very busy.A CNA started cleaning spraying chemical.Once again I could hear the Dr.talking on the phone in the hallway about another patient for 20mins.Once again all the lights off everyone was out to lunch, I was there at 10:30am left at 12noon

Dr. Kornwitz is very matter-of-fact; not the most gregarious person. However, he is a top-notch surgeon who successfully replaced both of my hips. No pain, no infections, perfect incisions. I highly recommend him.
