BEWARE!!! This place just ripped me off. I had my worst experience when it comes to plastic surgery. I have done two sets of labs and a physical exam. Everything was all clear. Then they told me MEL ORTEGA can't do my surgery. He wants me to have an echocardiogram. I asked them where will I even go to have that done. It's a week before my surgery and Kaiser does not authorize test for outside surgeries which I gave them that in a email. They are still refusing to refund me my $1,000. Besides the fact I'm off work already for those days and already had a flight I booked plus I had to pay for a place to stay. I just feel like if he refuses to do my surgery cause he feels I'm at risk then give me back my money. I have already wasted time and other money I can't get back. BEWARE!!!!

I am considering having a procedure that takes my fat from my waiste and transfers it to my butt, but I think they call it Brazilian butt lift at Spectrum with Dr. Ortega. I have heard better than great things about his work and how down to earth. On consultation day he was very down to earth, and I love that. He wasn’t my first choice. But now that I have researched him I am glad I was able to schedule with him. I saw numerous pictures of his work and is fantastic. Looking very forward to reach next month for my procedure.

n out of state patientVERYunhappy with my experience with spectrum aesthetics/mel Ortega. I was promised 5 star service, scheduled check ins as well as a knowledgeable staff available to help best prepare me for my procedure.
Instead, after placing a deposit all such claims became outrageously inaccurate. The staff was difficult to get in touch with, did not contact on scheduled days, had conflicting answers regarding how long i should plan to stay post surgery((when attending to book flight)),rarely called me back or responded to emails. The Managers also give you the cold shoulder and ultimately i canceled my procedure. Even with them not fulfilling their service claims, I wasted time and lost deposit

Well I had a bbl by him and he left several lumps everywhere and did a poor job with lipo. The most upsetting part is it takes over 5 hours with an appointment to be able to see him. Once I do get to see him he acts like such an arrogant doctor. He won't take any responsibility and basically just said that I may need a revision or two. Really? It was the biggest waste of money in time to go to him. You get what you pay for. Cheap is not the way to go when it comes to plastic surgery! I learned that the hard way

I always wanted a tummy tuck. I have three kids and I'm 41 years old. My doctor is doctor Mel Ortega he does great work but I felt he could of spent more time with me. I felt rush. But other then that everyone at the Spectrum Aesthetics, Miami office is great especially Liz. Everyone is so very helpful and if your coming from out of town you should stay at the Element Hotel because you won't need to rent a car they have there own shuttle to take you anywhere from 3 miles and the clinic is less then that. They took me and my best friend to the clinic and pick us back up. It was amazing
