Dr Clapton saved my families lives. All four of us. 2 children with bipolar disorder, my husband with ADD and myself with anxiety. When crisis came I'd call his cell phone explain the crisis at hand, he asked that I give the phone to my child and he would talk to them at length to bring them down from suicide or from their delusional thoughts, call the psych hospital us, call in the prescription needed to save their life. He would tell me what to do. I learned right away that when you call a psychiatrist you need to let them know that your child or loved one is going up fast and needs to come down or visa versa. Dr Clapton understands what that means and helped me understand what was going on not only in my children's lives but mine and my husbands. He had godly wisdom and my family grew to deeply trust dr Clapton and deeply appreciate him. We have been to other psychiatrist and they were so shallow compared to dr Clapton. Dr clopton really did not charge as much other psychiatrists did, we always had all our questions written down and took notes from all our meetings. He has such a tender heart and very compassionate. Dr clopton will always be the best dr and after 11 years with him we are so grateful for him. My neighbors across the street, a family of 3: the father had type 2 bipolar, the wife severe anxiety with ADHD, their son bipolar with ADHD Their life was spinning out of control they couldn't work lost everything dr clopton saw all three of them for free for years. I know he helped a lot of people who were poor and there was no where for them to go for help. He saved their lives. I could go on and on for all the good he has done for my family. Dr Clopton helped us all understand who and what was happening to each of us. He gave us hope for a good life ahead. I will always recommend Dr Clopton to date my one child has not had an episode in 5 years, the other child has turned her life around. Both my children love Dr. clopton. Sham on anyone who finds fault with him. We all have our faults but in our lives we choose to see the good. We will always be thankful for Dr Clopton. A mom with a heart of thanksgiving.

It was easy enough to set up an appt, but his manner is extremely casual & somewhat scattered. Looked at a dr's report & suggested we have a thyroid test done (it already showed completed on the report). After a few questions & a lengthy monologue about his philosophy of treatment (benefit of working as a team w/patient, parents, other providers, etc) he prescribed medication. Two wks later we needed to have a phone appt to adjust the dosage & he charged us $125 for a 15 minute phone call, then never sent us the invoice so we could get reimbursed by our insurance. After several emails & finally an answered phone call ("I just sent that invoice out to you last week"), we STILL have not received it (it's been over a month since the phone appt). NOT professional! We will not be using his services again.

This doctor is not good I was diagnosed by him for 12 years as bipolar but when no meds whould help he said it was all behavioral well finally had the common sense to change doctors and in the first five minutes of talking to him he said what ws this doctor thinking you are NOT bipolar you are suffering from PTSD and took me off all meds helped me continue my coping skills and prescribed Prozac but because I know what is going on and know how to deal with it I no longer have to take medication or go to therapy but I do know that if I need to that it does help.... Really though twelve years and you could not figure that out but five minutes and another doctor could my suggestion, pay more attention, care less about the money and more about the patients, and brush up on ways to interact with human beings.

He spent 30 minutes with me and didn't seem very interested. Told me to call him, but he didn't return my phone calls. Probably the least caring "health care" person I've ever dealt with.

My 17 year old son had been misdiagnosed for over 10 years, we saw many physicians, even traveled far. He was prescribed every antipsychotic made. We had one visit with Dr. Clopton and for the first time in my sons life, he is 100% normal. My son had attempted suicide and this Miracle MD most definitely saved my sons life. He is the only doctor that truly understands the brain. Without his immediate intervention I know in my heart, one day my son was going to take his life. He suffered severe anxiety, which had many secondary symptoms. They main symptom was missed entirely by many doctors. Dr. Clopton is amazing and brilliant!!!!

Appearance is sloppy and unprofessional. Prescribed my 13 yr son medication with minimal questions and after spending 1/2 hr with us. Asked me to follow up with issues within one week. Never responded to my phone call or email with concerns.

I have been a patient with Dr. Clopton for 16 years now, I have found him to be very knowledgeable and willing to take time to share his knowledge with me. It seems to me that in the last 3 years somethings have changed as far as his employees, I wish Romel was back. It has become more difficult to contact him even during office hours, I've actually have had to call his personal number. The timing of this problem co-insides with his receptionist Romel leaving the practice. I have felt that his office staff is the problem as he has remained the same caring, communicative and knowledgeable person.

Dr clopton will write you pretty much any prescriptions that you ask for without regard for weather or not it is addictive or not. Then once you get addicted his staff will rarely send you your prescription on time. He never even took my blood pressure. He never checks to see how you are doing. And never once spent the full 15 minutes with me during a med check. Aloof and uncaring I think sums him up.

Dr. Clopton has consistently provided a high quality of care for my husband. I have come to have great respect for this Dr. If someone believed they were not charged appropriately then why not speak up and attempt to have the matter resolved?

After hearing about him through a friend i decided to give him a try. i was nervous since id never been to a therapist but his office was EXTREMELY relaxed, almost to much. i felt like he didnt care what i was saying and he gave me the 1st med i asked for. he gave me a 5 day prescription & said to call the next week to confirm i liked the med. when i called back he charged me an extra $100 for literally a 2 minute conversation. i guess it was a "phone appt" but if id known that i wouldve taken advantage and talked longer! he was helpful in giving me the medications i requested but was unconcerned about anything else i said. if your looking for a listening ear this is not your doc. very nice guy but in it for the money, period.
