Misdiagnosed me with fibromyalgia. Did no tests; just jumped to this conclusion. After moving away and seeing a new doctor, I was correctly diagnosed with sleep apnea. Unfortunately I was incorrectly treated for years before uncovering the real diagnosis. A terrible doctor.

Do not go to Dr. Forkin if you want to be truly taken care of. You are just another cow being shuffled in and shuffled out. Your health is not important enough for her to care about. I hope she loses her practice.

She is absolutely the worst. Went to her for years and never felt like a priority. My mom died of cancer and I wanted to go to a specific doctor to make sure I was healthy and she was offended and rude. She sucks

My family & I have been patients of Dr. Forkin for 12 years and really appreciate her candor & compassion. I like her "no nonsense" approach & am surprised to read some of the previous negative comments. I have found her to be a good listener & to take the time necessary to address our questions. My mother just moved here from MI & is looking forward to becoming a patient of Dr. Forkin.

Dr Forkin has been a blessing to me and my family for more than 20 years. I have never had a physician more caring, more knowledgeable and more willing to give me her ear when needed. My children think the world of her and so do I.

I have gone to Dr. Forkin for 17 yrs. I agree with the comment about above her former nurse, Mike, she was the reason peopled stayed with Dr. Forkin. Since Mike retired, she has gone through many nurses and most were not good at their jobs. I think that the receiptionist is now the best person in the practice to deal with now. Dr. Forkin sees things black or white, but doesn't seem to think what is best for the patient. I recently decided to leave the practice, after debating for the last several years. It came down to calling for help and being told no, due to reasons that were not accurate. Either she is listening to wrong information from her new nurse or doesn't get it!

Started seeing Dr. Forkin 2001. Was awesome at first but then just wanted to push pills on me. Took me off synthroid which my current doctor said you never ever just drop a person off thyroid medication. Goiters got huge and multiplied from one to three. After switching doctors and back on synthroid they began to shrink and I felt back on track. Thyroid issues can really mess with all aspects of your body. She offered me pills for everything including ones I refused to take. Her old nurse "mike" was wonderful and very attentive but when she left I think the office fell apart for lack of better words. The receptionist was so rude at times and even made very rude reference to a family member of mine. She gossiped about her fellow employees in front of other staff and myself. After about 6 years of it we had enough and left. My mother was treated so poorly by Dr. Forkin and her staff she left as well. It's really just sad.

How surprising (and oddly validating) to read these comments! I'm not the only one who feels this way!! I agree that she has changed over the years and the final straw for me was this year's annual physical visit. Dr. Forkin seriously lacks "bedside manner" in my opinion. For the past couple of years, she's told me "it's not rocket science, put less in your mouth and move more." Ahhhh, if only it were that simple!! (We'd all be size 6, right?!) This year, she labeled me (rather flippantly and nonchalantly) as "morbidly obese" and suggested I look into bariatric surgery. I'm FAR from the min. 100 lbs. overweight requirement!! This was insulting, insensitive, and not at all helpful. I've been considering it for awhile now (probably two or three years) and this was the last straw for me ... I'll be looking for a new doctor! :-(

I am suprised by the comments I have seen on this rating site. We moved 1 hour away 3 years ago and continue to use her as our primary physician. I find her caring, not in a hurry, and not a doctor who is ready to medicate at moment's notice. She is to our family someone we trust.

My family will forever be grateful to Dr. Forkin. She is an incredibly attentive doctor, whose attention to detail and recognition of symptoms resulted in the diagnosis of ovarian cancer for my mom. She very easily could have dismissed the symptoms as something benign, leaving my mom's cancer undetected. Instead, she heard everything my mom told her and issued the necessary diagnostic tests, recognizing the urgency of the situation. Because of Dr. Forkin's keen insight, my mom has been given the opportunity to truly fight this cancer. Dr. Forkin deserves our highest praise.
