This "doctor" does not listen to her patients. She thinks she knows it all and that what you have to say does not have anything to do with her practice. My mother went to her for years. She totally screwed up several times, misevaluating what was wrong. Due to Dr. Forkin's lack of listening skills my mother faced liver damage and insecurity. The emotional and physical damages that Dr. Forkin caused my mother is unforgivable and I would NEVER recomend anyone to see her.

What used to be a wonderful doctor has turned into an uncaring/unconcerned tired doctor who needs to do some soul searching before she loses the rest of her patients.

I have been going to Dr. Forkin for several years now and I have had some very mild to very serious symptoms and when I do go see her she says its anxiety or I am healthy to nothing wrong with me. I get very furstrated going to see her most of the time seeing her nurse and told not to worry when I call having very serious concerns. I used to like her now she seems like she could care less I am scared or upset or worried. The last time I went in she told me to take a certain perscription and it should then clear up if not then call back later and If I call back later the staff seems very irritated with me or upset that I am even calling again. I never feel right and I think its cause I am not getting dignosed properly. I am currently looking for another doctor one who cares about me as a human being not just a payment. I feel like I waste their time. I just wish I could be cared for.

I found that this doctor tends to go toward a psychiatric problem as source for your health issues, without really listening to you. I have young-onset parkinson's disease (later found out to be genetic!) and she blamed my problems on bipolar disorder, because there is a family history, even though I didn't have any symptoms and told her that I wasn't depressed, merely frustrated because my symptoms were progressing and seemed out-of-the-ordinary. I was charged $160.00 out-of-pocket where at another doctor in Indianapolis I was charged $60 for much better care (I didn't have insurance at the time). The nurse practitioner will see the patient for more time than Dr. Forkin, too. I would also not recommend her since she tends to prescribe medicines very readily, and prescribes brand names without substituting. Again, for some people she may be perfect, but not for me. I don't go to doctors without insurance to be told that I'm crazy.

Dr. Forkin has changed over the years. Used to be very attentive and supportive. In the past few years she pays less attention. Appears to be overworked and wants to push pills to "resolve the problem". By the time my girls were in their late teens, they refused to go the Dr. Forkin because she would not listen to them but trivialized their complaints.

I suffered from severe allergies & had an epsiode that left me unable to work for 2 weeks. Both Dr. Forkin & her staff tried telling me I was having panic attacks & my symptoms were anxiety related. After my 4th visit, when I tried telling her that I didn't think it was in my head, she literally walked out the door. I asked for an allergy test & the results came back very high that a nurse verified were high enough to put me out for two weeks (confirmed by additional skin tests at a later date). Dr. Forkin discouraged me from doing allergy shots and told me there was nothing more she could do for me. I now see both an internist & an asthma allergy specialist. I am now getting successful treatment and guidance to manage asthma, allergies (including shots) and GERD that I was not at all receiving under Dr. Forkin's care. I would not recommend her for anything other than routine care -- not if you have any chronic conditions. Her biggest mistake? Not listening.
