Dr. Munoz returned my life to “normal”. After being seen by countless docs, placed in “home” my husband and children were devastated by my behavior, loss of memory, a colleague of Dr Minos at a community hospital told my husband and daughter that he was in medical school with an exceptional surgeon now at Rush. I was diagnosed with NPH and run through a battery of physical and mental tests. I was in surgery by the end of the week with a VP shunt and my life went back to normal.(our normal good craziness. Thank you Dr Minos, Robin and Margaret , outstanding dr. A staff. I have had my shunt at least five years, I will always keep you all in my prayers. PAM. For the record he is not a 5 he’s a 10!

I am an 8 year brain cancer survivor of stage 4 brain cancer. Doctor Munoz removed my tumor in May 2007. Though diagnosis was not good with odds of a return of tumor within a few years. He felt he got the entire tumor out which was a big plus. I don't feel I would be here today without his expertise. Plus the entire Rush Copley team. Thank You all. Especially Doctor Munoz. Dr. Munoz is an excellent surgeon. He was great for me and my family. I also can not say enough about his nurse Rabia, she was so helpful through everything.

Dr. Munoz was excellent when indicating necessary surgery for a meningioma. Other doctors were treating him for depression which I clearly disagreed with. Dr. Munoz has been immediate in his diagnosis of subsequent brain issues, and had been proven correct when other doctors disagree . He is always willing to spend time with his patients and his nurse practitioners , Robyn and Rabia are fantastic, even going so far as to call our home to check on my husband. I would highly recommend Dr . Munoz and his staff. Dr. M is also quick to return a phone call from patient or family at any time. I find that very comforting!

Dr. Munoz was caring and compassionate throughout my husband's battle with brain cancer. He performed 3 tumor removals and also the gamma knife surgery. After my husband passed, I received a personal note written by Dr. Munoz - I've never heard of a busy surgeon taking the time out to write condolences to the family of a patient. I would highly recommend him.

Dr. Lorenzo Munoz removed a large brain tumor from my 5 year old daughter in 2012. It was an emergency situation. I got a second opinion from Dr. John Ruge at Luthern General hospital. Dr. Ruge said that Dr. Munoz was an excellent doctor. Dr. Munoz successfully removed the entire tumor from my daughter. Everything that Dr. Munoz said was correct and he saved my daughter's life. Dr. Munoz is a very confident doctor and the Pediatic ICU staff at Rush hospital was excellent. my daughter was diagnosed with J.P.A. My daughter is doing well and continues to have MRI's to make sure that the tumor does not return.
